@RN Louie the oldest cat in the world was 33, it was only a house cat for about 12 years of its' life. It would have lived longer if a dumb vet didnt kill it.
Im not an vet. Other than fish oil supplements i cant really suggest anything else. Best you ask your vet while having your persian checked out. The constipation could be just down to the food youre feeding it or not enough things like cat grass to aid digestion. Speak with your vet.

I noticed that someone below leaves cat hair outside so squirrels can use it for their nests. I save dryer lint, my hair (I cut my own), AND my cat's hair and leave all of it outdoors in the springtime so that birds can use the "harvest" for their nests.

Shes adorable I used to love love love brushing my Rottweiler all the time- not much fur compared to ur cat but still shed constantly . Hair everywhere- and thats from a short haired pet! I enjoy getting pets clean and comfortable- it really satisfies the soul , to me

I'd had an Australian Cattle Dog for 16 years, so a cat was a new experience 😊 ESPECIALLY a Nebelung - but, we brush everyday, and have treats (exactly 5) afterwards. She's learned to sit, shake and 'stand' all for getting brushed!! New subscriber!

I see some of the BEST comments on this video! With that kind of shedding, you need to brush her at least 3 times a day! For severely matted areas, just use a scissors and cut it out - she won't like brushing those areas as it hurts (MEOUCH!!).

They should only be cut out as brushing would be too painful. Uh, too much work for me. I rescued a short hair mix instead.

That's one fine feline you have there. This makes me miss my buddy "Vinnie" who I had for years. MC's have the very best dispositions and we're lucky that they let us live in "their" home. He's been gone now for almost two decades and isn't missed any less as time goes by. I'm retired and on the "downside" of my time here. Sounds morbid, I know, but it's just the way of things. I'll see my buddy soon enough...
I have a calico short hair but she has longer hair on her bum and she hates when I brush back there. I have to brush it out tho, she gets little diggle berries back there! 😁🤗😸

Yes, especially around her rear end where she gets more clumps but also those clumps may actually need to be cut off instead of attempting to brush them out if they're too bad because that'd be very painful for the poor cat!

Hello there... Beautiful cat... the "molting" winter fur takes time to remove. It's great that you are doing it in short sessions. MY SUGGESTION: Try using your undercoat rake with a short plucking stroke (like plucking a violin), instead of the long, pulling strokes you used in this video. Pluck in one area for several strokes ... then move to another section. Gradually loosen the deeper dead hair at the skin level (taking care not to rake the skin by holding the rake tines parallel to the skin). This technique liberates more fur. Your Sasha is really good about being brushed, but the long strokes can pull on her skin too much because of the congested dead fur in her coat. You are a great pet parent. Many people don't botger to do this much needed grooming of their fur babies.
Awww I have 2 Maine’s and Norwegian forest cat. My weegie went to the groomer and got shaved down. He is fuzzier than her. My one Maine loves brushing , my other hates it. 😽

We used to drop compressed fluffer tufts in the yard for squirrels and they LOVED using them in the nests.

Careful using dryer sheets or toxic detergent/softeners.
Make sure your hair clippings are short and toss the lint in the garbage, it does more harm than good.
