Another great day of groundhopping as I was able to look around Bayview Stadium (the home of East Fife FC). A huge thank you to East Fife Football Club for letting me look around the stadium.
They currently play their football in Scottish League 1 (SPFL). I love exploring Scottish football stadiums!

When I visit New Bayview, the staff, and volunteers, are just so welcoming.
Phoning up the shop, you never know who'll answer, perhaps a director, great service too!

The only thing is the stand at 3 o clock has the sun behind it, take a warm coat, it can be freezing!

Really interesting video. A really great idea to visit all these grounds. It's great they were so hospitable as well. The nicest thing sitting here in a warm front room is one gets to feel what it's like being at these grounds.

That view “mountains and solar panels” 😆😆 in all seriousness, the job you’re doing to promote Scottish football is fantastic, you deserve a lot of credit especially nowadays as most folk just rubbish it all the time.
Haha, I do try and find positives in every club! There's enough of them out there. Scottish football might not be the force it once was in the 60s but there's still some amazing history there!
@@FootyAdventures well even the 80’s mate, I watched Hearts beating Bayern Munich at Tynecastle, Dundee Utd beating Barca home and away, Aberdeen etc, the thought of that happening now is fairly ridiculous except for Celtic in the last 15 years.
@@mikeharrison72 Yeah there's been some big successes in europe down the years. Just need some Saudi princes to come in at a few clubs and maybe we'll see it again one day!
@@FootyAdventures you know, to be honest mate, I’m glad that’s not happened. The amount of guys from England that follow lower league clubs that have said the EPL has taken a lot away from the game down there and that the fans are not even considered at a lot of clubs in the top flight. But the irony is, they all want a piece of it. Money, it’s the ruination of so much. What needs to happen in Scotland first and foremost is to get rid of these idiots who are running the game, they and only they are the real issue in Scotland.
Well it's snowy here in Fife today! I'm so glad that more clubs are seeing what a great guy you are and letting you into more and more stadiums. Keep up the great videos mate!

Another good job! The old Bayview was full of character, classic old style stand and terracing on three sides. Kind of a shame it went like so many others. So, who was the mystery groundsman, did we get to learn his name?

I love how you promote the smaller teams in Scotland. Would love it if you came across the Irish Sea to Northern Ireland. Over recent years our fa have really brought our game to a higher level with current champions linfield almost qualifying for Europe last season. We have really passionate fans even though are numbers are smaller. I would recommend what we call the big too Linfield vs Glentoran on boxing day. The atmosphere is always lively and always a great turn out

How welcoming were the folks like Mel at East Fife. My late Dad said they were a massive club in Scotland when he was a wee boy growing up in the 1940s in Scotland and he supported them as their gold and black colours were same as his school and he could wear his school scarf to support them.
Will you be going to every Scottish ground to watch a match when fans are allowed in.
Finally Simon Inglis book Football Grounds of England and Scotland from 30 years ago and fiver on ebay good read as shows old Scottish grounds like East Fife and Stirling Albion before they moved to new modern grounds. Would send you my copy but had to bin it when downsized houses last year.

It's a shame that the club, despite winning the Scottish Cup and 3 League Cups haven't graced the top tier of Scottish football for almost 50 years

Ahhh my club, spent many good times and lots of bad at Bayview. I left Scotland 6.5 years ago for New Zealand but first thing I do on a Sunday morning is check our result.

Unsure if you've been up and filmed Ross County and Inverness yet, but if you haven't then you might want to check out a few of the Highland League teams in the area and a weird one but there's also Loch Ness FC in the North Caledonian League......check out their kits, you won't be disappointed 🤣🤣🤣

Probably the Goalkeeper Ernie McGarr who was capped twice and played for several clubs including Aberdeen, Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath , Airdrieonians plus a handful of games for Berwick.
