Yes there is nothing more therapeutic than spending time in the garden. Tottering around even when walking, i see something that needs attention i get to it. Sometimes I get carried away and can't stop then run out of work. If there's a gap I plant it. Really enjoyable.
Hi Lucas - awesome video, so funny - harassing tomatoes! Your growing tips are excellent and appreciated the fertilizer lesson. My front yard is the only area with consistent sun, and I do believe my neighbors have seen me talking to the plants (though not lying amongst them lol). Have harvested garlic, a few cucumbers, and now patiently awaiting tomatoes (hybrid/heirloom/cherry). All the best and thanks!! 🌼🐝🍅
Hello, I purchased 2 tomato plants this weekends and I am having trouble. One of my plants branches and leaves are drooping. Is it because there’s too much sun? Or not enough water? Thanks.
Hey Lucas! It’s been a long time since I’ve watched one of you videos you growing pumpkins again? I loved those videos because I have been growing pumpkins every year since I was 3 (with a little help with my grandparents) I’m 16 now and I took a “break” the last two years after I watched you pumpkin growing videos it inspired me to start again and it’s not perfect this year but it’s a huge improvement! I just want to say thanks for the inspiration!!
Hi Carson! Thanks for the kind words. Awesome to hear from another young person passionate about growing pumpkins! Not this year unfortunately but hopefully again once I get my own property. Best of luck with your pumpkin growing endeavours! 🎃
Hi Lucas- I have a question for you. When multiple tomatoes are growing on a stem and the stem bends down at an acute angle due to the weight of the tomatoes, should I try to place a smaller stake and tie up/stake the small stem or just leave it bent over? I'm concerned that the tomatoes won't get nutrients with the stem bent at such an acute angle.
Hi Miriam, this is a great question. I have noticed this sometimes on the beefsteaks and don’t do anything about it. Doesn’t seem to affect anything and I really don’t know why tomato plants have trouble supporting their own fruit load. It wouldn’t hurt to support it somehow, and you can actually buy little stem clips specifically for this purpose, but personally I think this is unnecessary. Hope this helps!
Hi, I have 100s of green cherry tomatoes and they are not turning red? They seem the right size. Is there something I need to do to get them to ripen? Thank you!!
I think I went too nitrogen heavy and my plants are in early fruiting stage, should I just let it run it's course or should I ammend with more phosphorus/potassium?
Roll of concrete mesh from Lowe’s. Several years ago it was around $100CAD and got 10 cages out of it. Just use bolt cutters and cut off sections, bend hooks, and you’re good to go!
@@lucasgrowsbestytIs a link possible? I've used cattle panels and I guess the soil was either too soft or the metal wasn't strong enough and it just flipped over :/ My plants get well over 10ft tall so I'm also exploring lowering and lean or just lowering methods but if that doesn't happen, I need much stronger cages :(
End rot are in cages are 4ft tall got tomatosbut end rot I started giving them calcium liquid are dense could have trimmed them better been giving them 2 gallons of water a day when it's been hot plus giving fertilizer flowering now been throwing them away

I need to know while staking is it only one method
Can blosson end rot be corrected/cured?
I think I went too nitrogen heavy and my plants are in early fruiting stage, should I just let it run it's course or should I ammend with more phosphorus/potassium?
I would put on some phos/potassium but reduce nitrogen!
How did you make your round tomato cage??

@@lucasgrowsbestyt Soil probably still too cool? Mine took forever in Zone 6. Anyhoo- good to see another video from u!

Do you use yeast or sugar on them?
Nope!
@@lucasgrowsbestyt do you recommend a tomaote like a beef stake that tastes good and doesn't take 80 days * thanks
Donde los grande pantalons?
Do you have any other gardening friends in your town Lucas?
Haha! My neighbour is a gardening friend, but we’re not close in age. Hard to find locals my age who share my gardening passion!
What does blight look like?
Yellow, dark brown and/or grey/black on leaves. Best to google images!
What causes white spots on tomatoes
Leaves or fruit? Sounds like powdery mildew or some other type of fungus/mold. High humidity and poor airflow can cause this!
Onde estão as legendas?
Não entendi nada.
Do you not see the CC button near the top right corner of is it in a different language?
@@tiffany7023 Yes, I pressed the button, but the subtitles do not appear.
More thanks for answering.
@@washingtonsilva6122 Oh boy, do you want me to try and type it in the comments?
Well, gotta retry next year for making some homemade sauce and ketchup (not to put on "za shawarma")
Love a full bush when watching dirty videos. :)

I guess my tomatoes are organic. I put absolutely nothing on them.
I don’t like tomatoes.
