These are generally not drunk as liqueurs, they are drunk in the same way as aquavit. So they are enjoyed with food, often fatty foods like pickled herring. An other traditional way to drink bäska droppar is with biff rydberg, basically a hash with beef fillet and a raw egg yolk. It's an excellent combination and really cut through the fat.
The preferred brännvin (or snaps) for me is the last one you tried, Rånäs. It's lovely with fatty fish like salmon.
Great video... being Swedish it is really fun to see non-Swedish people enjoying our drinks. All these 5 drinks are typically interchanged with aquavit and drunk with traditional food from the "Smörgåsbord" like pickled herring. Also... you probably know already know the Swedish word "Malört" literally means Wormwood
Like some already wrote these are not liqueurs, but bitters. Scandinavian bitters & aquavits are coloquially referred to as 'brennvin' (burnwine/brandy), 'snaps' and 'dram', while technically 'brennvin' is the drink itself - 'snaps' is how it is drunk (as a shot) and 'dram' is the size (2cl equals a unit of appr. 80% alcohol - a unit of appr. 40% alcohol is 4cl and called a double).
Russin is raisins and säd is grain. Brännvin is destillate, literally is burnt wine but I don't think wine has ever been part of producing brännvin
The same word exists in English as brandywine. Wine distillation has been used in the production of spirits in Sweden since the 1400s, originally for manufacturing gunpowder. Today it's mostly made from grain, but potato has also been popular historically.
Just as I saw it on the table all I could think was do the Bäska droppas last, it really overpowers your pallet.

Interesting to hear your opinions as a non-swede. Glad you didn't hate them. Dill is not nearly as common as caraway as you might have noticed.
You probably already know but that assorted box of 'snaps' is the one most swedes get for their midsummers celebration (few people enjoy Bäska Droppar).

"Snaps"/"nubbe" should not be translated as liqueur or schnapps. Liqueur and schnapps are typically sweet and 30% ABV. Snaps is essentially spiced brännvin(~=Vodka) and typically about 40% ABV.
I could listen to buzzed Leandro and sober Marius shoot the sh*t about whales for an hour tbh. And even when sober, I really like these videos, I think local/national alcohols are a great insight into a country's history, tastes, and drinking culture. Reading all the cool comments from Scandinavians has been fascinating.

I got out that Sweden seems to have just as good as an akvavit (Svenska nubbar) scene as the rest of Scandanavia. I have been slowly getting my coworkers into akvavit and appreciate your effort spent trying to educate us all.
No one in Sweden would call these "liqueur", no one. They're not treated differently than the other spirits you had in your other video.
liqueurs are really sweet. Brännvin is a word for something similar to vodka. Vodka could be considered Brännvin. But this is liqueur? No.
I want a glass of pizza! Definitely should have tried Bäska Droppar last. It might be a bit of an acquired taste, and it's not great on its own, but it goes really well with the sort of salty, smoky meats and fish that you'll find at a typical Swedish Christmas dinner, especially with a full-bodied dark beer in your other glass. You should avoid eel, though, because it's endangered. Now go take a nap!

The whale us Norwegians hunt and eat is the minke whale, which isn't endangered. Which is a small-ish whale. Not tiny, but on the smaller end of the baleen (filter eater) whales.
A tasting I’d love for you to do is some German spirits especially Korn and Wacholder as well as other German Kräuterliköre like Hubertustropfen and Kuemmerling. Some popular brands are Rosche, Berentzen and Heydt. Those distilleries are all located in a small town in northwest Germany called Haselünne which is only about 20 minutes from my home town.

Götaland (the geatsland region) is divided into two fiefs, where Östra Götaland is the eastern fief. In the viking and medieval ages sweonians rivalised with the geats, while the small-landers were kinda neutral. Some would say that the sueonians oppressed the geats, just as the danes oppressed the jutelanders and norwegians. But eventually the geats got the upperhand over the sweonians - and seceded from Denmark as Sweden. Later Sweden conquered Skåne, Halland, Blekinge, Öland and Gotland from the danes. Norway seceded from Denmark in 1814, only to be oppressed by Sweden till 1905. But sadly jutelanders are still oppressed by the danes.

FYI, Malört = Wormwood in Swedish.
Östgöta refers to the province ”östergötland” (like eastern gothland). It is obviously on the eastern side of the country and mayor cities is Linköping and Norrköping.
It has a counterpart. The province of Västergötland (and i know that you understand what that means). And that obviously lies west of östergötland. Mayor cities in västergötland is Gothemburg, Borås, Trollhättan and Skövde.
Västergötland and östergötland makes the northern most provinces of the ”country part” named ”götaland”.
Another country part you mentioned in the last video is ”Norrland” and the third (and final) one is ”Svealand” where stockholm and uppsala lies.
I have no idea what country parts are good for...
But The provinces in sweden has only has a cultural meaning. The administrative meanings goes under Län (or as it is called nowadays ”region”). The regions are either the same as a province (like Blekinge, it is both a province and a region), it can be a part of a province (like the province småland is devided into three regions kalmar, jönköping and kronoberg) or it can be a cluster of provinces that together forms a region. However the regions have no cultural meaning (exept if they are solo province regions).

Östgöta sädes brännvin is: Östgöta is a region in the east (Öst) of Sweden below Stockholm and sädes (säd is grain in English) and brännvin is spirits or liquor if you will.
This is hilarious as a swede. Brännvin and liqour is not really the same thing. Liqour is basically a sweetened spirit, brännvin is just straight spirit. I think it came from our agricultural days when everyone was a very hardcore alcoholics. It's more like how russians drink straight vodka, rather than a liqour such as a Grand Marnier.
Some translations:
Russin - Raisin (dry grape)
Herrgård - manor/mansion/castle. Often the big main house on large estates. Usually the count who ruled the local area(rented out farmland etc) lived there. Today many are hotels or just occupied by rich people.
Brännvin in a literal translation would be burnt wine, not sure if they mean because burning id involved in the making, or because it's like wine(alcoholic) but burns a lot more.
These are basically only drunk on easter/christmas/midsummer. More as a fun thing, than for taste. You also always sing a little song before taking the shot. Search for "snapsvisa" on youtube, basically schnaps carrol
