Something to be careful of when using something like UPS Store mailboxes for your business, you CANNOT have mail forwarded from that address via change of address through the USPS. They stopped granting those a while ago, because EVERY mailbox at the address has the same address. And if they forwarded stuff, they would forward EVERYTHING. So definitely ask the place you're planning to go with about how mail forwarding would work if you ever change.
Hey Jim love your content. I would like to suggest a video since I could not find this information on your channel. I am forming my LLC and the operating agreement I am using is asking what I am contributing to my LLC (Money or Assets) and the information I am finding says this is important so that you have a stake in the business.
My questions I am wondering is how are these contributions affected during tax season and how much is a reasonable amount for startup costs or is this not all that important.

Hi Jim, thanks for the content. If I live and have an LLC in California, but also work and do transactions deals in other states such as New York, Florida, Ohio, Texas and Kansas. Does that mean I need to get an LLC for each of those states as well, a total of 5 more LLC. Or will my California LLC suffice for those 5 states I just mentioned?
I am learning alot and read all the comments but I see you don't answer alot of the questions. My question is if you "own" your home but you are mortgaged to almost value, only bought it a few yrs ago, is it only the equity that's considered an asset? Thanks :)

Hello Jim, I started my LLC earlier this year.I wish I would have seen your videos before hand. I did make a mistake #3 , I used my home address as my business address. I did use a registered agent company set up my LLC. Is it difficult to have it changed to one of your suggestion in your video?
I did the same with my first llc, but this time I did so much research i actually did my llc for a new business today and thank God I took my time. I went to an accounting office, talked to a registered agent and checked for both virtual and physical address. I got everything together and got my llc today. You should call your secretary of state office to make any changes. God bless

Im a certified HVAC/ R technician. Here in Texas we need a contractors license to be able to work independently. Thats requires 4 yrs of experience to get that contractors license.
