First and foremost point - lithium ion batteries are very dangerous is they get short or overheated. It fires.
Now why in the first place the smd fuse is blown?
The could be a charging problem. We all know we plug in whatever charger we get as long as the connector is right one. If u use a fast charge adaptor for a normal charging phone it's ends up in heat. Prolonged use will heat up the battery and it will explode. Sooooo, manufacturers put a smd fuse across battery line.
If you short the terminal using a wire guess what happens....
The heat will build up and there no weak spot to defuse.... So the lithium ion will.........
