- Corrie - Gary holds Izzy Hostage (2011).
Gary becomes obsessed with Izzy's welfare. He takes a job at Underworld so he can be around Izzy more. Izzy goes into town with Sean and Julie to get away from Gary for a while, only to get robbed by a cash point. Gary then takes Izzy's wheelchair away so she cannot leave the house and says he will later return it. He then keeps her imprisoned in the house until Owen rescues Izzy.

Well, as Owen said if it had been anyone else he would have phoned the police but given that Gary is obviously suffering PTSD after fighting in Afghanistan and seeing a friend die....what he did was wrong yes but it was clear that he was losing the plot and becoming paranoid over Izzy's safety. He did not harm her physically.....if the victim chooses not to press charges then....it's possible that the police would have sent him to hospital instead of prison anyway....as far as I know this was his first offence and in this case I think prison would worsen his condition....all the actors were amazing and this is a really good portrayal of PTSD.
More like the actress who plays Izzy should be arrested for been such a bad actress
@@98slbrookes98nah, whether Gary’s got PTSD or not, after he kept trying to steal Tina off David and wind up the Platt’s, he should be locked up and if I was Owen, after I knew all that, I’d have phoned the police. Gary should’ve been in prison.
