Ricky is one of the few celebs I have always liked, a genuine guy, huge animal activist and only does things where he knows he is allowed to say whatever he wants to say. Self-made millionaire who never sold out, even in his early 30s during the xfm show he was trying to find banned words with similar words or just arguing with his producer over what he can or can't say.

The whole problem is that people think as soon as they don't find a joke from a comedian funny personally, they argue that it's not a joke, but a simple statement, because people are dumb, and they cannot percieve the fact that something can be funny to someone else, if they don't personally find it funny, this extreme form of gatekeeping has to stop, the free speech of comedians who as artists absorb life and shape it into laughing therapy by way of their personality and words can only genuinely blossom with no laws, shunning and restrictions for their words.

Considering that The Office (original) is my favorite show of all time by a mile, I am fully aware that this comment is biased. But it really blows my mind how people argue against it in favor of the American remake. I get that the American one is more digestible for a viewer who isn't that well versed with comedy because it's very much so dumbed down and sketchified. But considering that the concept of the show is supposed to be a mockumentary and a replication of a real life office atmosphere, nothing has ever come even remotely close to the acting and scenario quality of The Office UK. Brent is the greatest character ever made.
