I came across this video in my recommended list because of my links to Skye (my wife’s family are from the North end of the island and we were married in Portree 29 years ago and come “home” every year). The scenery is beautiful no matter where you go on the island and no matter the weather. I like what you are doing to the croft house and I look forward to seeing your home as you progress. Best wishes from Fife 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The best way to learn a new skill is to start. You will mess up on the way, this is called learning, don't worry about it. Remember, there are more people out there that are worse at it than you are and they claim to be professionals.
Whatever you choose to do in your house is right (as long as its safe and meets your local regulations). Build and make great things.
Plastering is not difficult, watch some videos, get some plaster, a trowel, a hawk, some scrim tape, a couple of buckets, a bucket trowel, a paint brush and some corners (if you are doing corners). You will pick up the rest as you go.
    You can do it.

I am enjoying following your progress on your home. I am worried about you standing on an old chair, you can get a small platform which can give you more range and is easy to move around .🙂
