We moved to South Carolina in 1975,and my previous exposure to “beach music “was west coast beach music. Then ent to myrtle beach and the grand Strand… life took a different turn. Everywhere I go ,I turn people on to this type of music
I work at a local radio station where we play "music of the Carolinas" and boy this stuff is amazing. Probably one of my favorite tracks, and band for that matter. Grateful I came across this music!
Love this song and the Shakers. I remember purchasing the original 45 of this song from a member of the band at the old Sheraton lounge in Hickory. Those were some good times!!
What a great song. The bass lines are absolutely the best. I just learned them and i have to say the bass player did an awesome job creating them.Bo did a great job singing the lyrics as well. This song is definitely in the record books!
Great tune, heard it at Coastal Carolina University after a Women's Lacrosse win. One of my new favorite tunes...and Myrtle Beach is one of my favorite places ever!
There are other beach music songs from different areas and era's of the U.S., but there are no and I repeat no other beach songs that can even come close to Southern Beach Music of the 50's 60's and 70's
Wish this music could make a big comeback!!
