I started binge watching your episodes from yesterday, they're very informative. I just wish the episodes were longer, like 2-3 hours. The guests you bring are very knowledgeable and helpful and it seems like I'm missing a lot of what they have to say due to small episodes!

    Excellent he reigns !!!!
Dr Russel is the most intelligent man, I have ever heard!!
The ability to hold so much information, in the mind, then to transmit that info to all of us, without a stumble!! is almost impossible . But Dr Russel, Dances in a ring of fire, and throws off..... the worry of a flame... with a shrug!!!
Boy if I can only sit one on one with him, and be personally diagnosed from him, would be a dream come true, at the age of 53. Just white knuckling ,for all these hard long years(all the fist fights, mad road rage, arguing with the world). wondering if i was just slow or stupid. wow....finally know now. Now what.......go get tested/diagnosed on meds.

so true! CBT was frustrating, boring and downright insulting for me! And to top it all the guy sent me off with homework to do! I knew it was well intentioned but I knew all the stuff.... my struggle was applying my intelligence to daily life, The problem was never lack of cognition or insight (people often said I am very insightful, even illuminative at times. I just don't always act that way and my life outcomes have shown that.
Finally got diagnosed with ADHD Combined type at age 47. It's very frustrating being smart but daft at the same time. Only people who get to know you well, or in certain moments... get to see the smart. Most people just see 'space cadet, clown, flakey, naive.... so many labels but I prefer ADHD (event though it could do with a bit more clarity because I never. thought I was that... because I thought hyperactive meant really productive)
and there's my rant and stream of thought....phew

So Maddy was having an anxiety attack? How do you know she didn't understand the value of completing journal assignment? Why should she conform make actions do? You are pathologizing executive functioning rather than attempting to compassionately, empathically and scientifically biopsychosocially understand. Amazing!

Instead of full frontal. Why dont you do full subcortical? I guess you never caught up with the actual science?
