Honda Smart Wireless Remote Key Fob Battery Replacement for CRV, Odyssey, Pilot, Accord, Civic

Detailed video on how to replace the battery in Wireless Key fob:

Instructions are very simple.
1. Pull the tab
2. Pull out the key
3. Use Key to pry open the FOB
4. Pull on the Battery with a fingernail (CAUTION, hold the unit tight, as the main logic board will pop out if you don't hold the body with the outside cover and you'll have to put the buttons back together)
5. Replace battery
6. Put back together

You can start the car with a dead fob by holding it to the start/stop button

Hold the key fob next to/close to the start button while you depress the break pedal and press the start button. Same exact procedure when you have a powered key fob with the additional step of holding the fob by the start button.

Don’t let the insides come out of the front while you’re prying the battery.
Especially on the new models with remote start, it’s a minor pain to put the buttons back into the face.

Might be worth wrapping a piece of masking tape around the insides and the front before trying to pry the battery.

Definitely need to pay attention to where to hold opened key fob when try to release battery. I had the pieces fall apart from the outside which thankfully I was able to put back together. Thanks so much for the help!
