I like "road to the show" and all and know many people who do also but personally I prefer "Season" mode better. When you choose "Season" mode you are very much more likely to be good at both pitching and batting (defense and offense). Learning to pitch good in MLB the show is important and fun. In my experience when I play against someone who has been playing road to the show only, I always annihilate them even if they been playing for more years than me. They always tend to be anxious, swinging at anything and even if they are not like that I still know how to get my 3 outs that I need. And since there is little experience pitching they usually throw very predictable pitches witch allows me to get many hits.
