Have you noticed any difference with the contralateral knee extended or flexed during the SLR flexion test? Do you utilize any hip extension testing set up?
There’s a chance you may have differences between them based on pelvic position, but as long as you test both legs in the same position, you should be fine assuming you’re only looking at symmetry. If you’re looking at comparing absolute strength amongst individual, you’ll have to test everyone the same way. “As long as you’re consistent” is my answer to most set up questions.
