Kids today wouldn’t understand or appreciate how hot this song was in the clubs back in the day. Forget usher this was a rotation for a lot of djs in those days
Where were the clubs or radio stations that played this? I just happened upon it and I can't believe I've never heard it before. I'm on the West Coast.
Man we walked into to a House Party in the ATX back in 1984 and a D.J. from New York was spinning the wheels of steal and heard this jam. Dude we were like FRESH! Still bumping to this jam next to the Youngsters with the crap music these days,
I remember recording this song on casette tape...It made me laugh because it reminded me of those CBGB Punk Rockers that wore those crazy lookin' clothes ( Which was the inspiration for the Whodini's song " Freaks come out at night " )...
Prob not mentioned much but Andy Wallace (Engineer) had a lot to do with this track coming out sounding so good. He went on to engineer several major albums like Nirvana's - Nevermind.
I can't believe I've never heard this song. It came up when I was looking up '80s music just now. Was it popular in Euro and/or the East Coast, or maybe Canada, or Down Under? I'm on the West Coast and I never heard this on the radio or saw it on MTV. It's really good. I like it.
