What’s the point of having him choose if you tell him what to choose? That seems counterintuitive
I watch you so many years and I am so happy you have a bf but please, let that man have his own thinking.. I agree with all the comments you really choose everything by yourself and he was just there.. Fun idea but we need Dan go alone and bring you make up.. What makes the bf does makeup and these types funny is if the gf let's THEM pick it's funny to see mens perception of what they think we do or the shades of foundation, etc. This is literally just helping him pick a shade with a list.. kinda missing the mark here it's supposed to be funny and silly. If you didn't want to waste you could've donated them after one use. this is just picking out makeup you want

I feel like this is the same eye look as every other you create with a palette of YOUR choice. He picked funky colors, maybe that’s a sign he likes bright colors. Be bold girl. It’s the holidays, those colors would go great with a red lip. You mentioned stepping out of your comfort zone. I must of missed that.

Well I mean it's her video, her rules, and her money. If she has places she doesn't want to spend it she shouldn't. And sometimes if we don't have something nice to say, we don't need to say anything at all.

I just think that if she chose the products herself and she herself paid with her own money, the title of the video is misleading as to what many viewers expected to see. :) maybe there will be a re-do of this video if it's brought to her attention and people will be excited to see it done differently.

He chose every brand himself and just about every color and she made sure the product was something that she could use and not waste money on. What good is it if he buys a dark brown concealer or a pale foundation she can't use? Or something that she already has/tried? She very gently guided him when necessary. I'm sure you can find another TH-camr who has a video in the style exactly what you're looking for. I

This video had so much potential, if you would’ve allowed him to actually pick what HE wanted. Great idea not the best execution.
Would have to agree. I can understand being with him to at least point out what is what (like concealer vs foundation so he’s not constantly bugging an Ulta employee), but it just seemed like you were having him grab the items you wanted. Next time, maybe send him on his own and just write a more detailed list? I.e. color of brow pencil, volume mascara, etc
I think that would give him more creative freedom but still be within the ballpark and you can set the budget. You can always return the items that don’t work or are the wrong color.

You controlled it a bit too much, imo. Even with the pallette itself being very green and it seemed like he would've liked to see you try those colors. I was excited to see you try those colors.

@@SuperSarahbop Omg you're right! It's festive lol! But yeah I really wanted to see some of those colors-hopefully she'll do a proper test with them later on? The green eyeliner also wasn't as green as I thought it was gonna be-was a cute concept though!
@@SuperSarahbop YES! Plus, she rarely does green eyeshadow. With her eyes, I think it would look gorgeous! There were some blueish green colors in that pallette that would've put to the test, that pinkish red lip. Cassie doesn't like to test her comfort zone too much from what I can tell in a lot of ways.
He picked the pallet because it had the green in it and got a green eyeliner. What the point of him picking out products and for you to get out of your comfort zone if all you do is do the exact same eye look you always do? I agree she should have done some kind of holiday look with the colors

This video needs a redo. I love the concept but you just told him what to buy. He really only got to pick out the eyeshadow pallet,mascara, and eyeliner. Everything else you told him no and to pick a different one. Next time actually let him pick the stuff out. If you already have it then oh well. It’s not his fault you told him to pick whatever and you already own 90% of the ulta store 🤷♀️
i love your content cassie! especially when you include dan. it’s different and fun! however, i do agree with most comments where you definitely walked him through what to pick. for example, with the eyeshadow, the blush, and face powder. he wanted to pick a specific blush (that i think you could’ve worked with) and you told him it was wrong and with the face powder, same. it would be super awesome if he had actually picked everything and if he had picked something you already had then just use what you have already.

Yeah, I love the concept but you gave him too much help 😂 I wanted him to pick up makeup that wasn't your shade or get the wrong things and some mad colours 😂 that would've been more fun! Unless he'd have gotten too stressed because that wouldn't be fun.

Just a side note. I'd l9ve to see you do under eye concealer on the actual under eyes, please. As most of us use these concealers under our eyes and I know for me the HG concealer is pretty crap on my under eye but I guess is fine on the face.

Hey Cassie….I thought this was going to be about Dan and what he wanted to choose for you and not you micromanaging the entire process. Why did you do that? You should have stayed outside the store! If your budget was tight you could have put a limit on how much he could spend per item and surely he is capable of finding blush eyeliner etc. This video for me is a FAIL but if you would like to redo and give him the freedom to make every single choice himself w/o you present I’d be more than excited to watch but not with you hovering! I really want this boyfriend buys my makeup video work for you. just let him go by himself give him a list of what to get regardless if you have it already or not, or its the wrong shade and what not it doesn't matter as long as he buys it himself alone. and then you put them on and see what look you come up with. it will be so much fun this time I think. part of the fun and funny of the boyfriend tag videos is letting them do it themselves on you. if he picks up the wrong shade or if you have it already I'm pretty sure it won't be an issue to return them. so how about a do over or part 2 I'm sure this time around it would be so much fun.
also another video you can do too is have him apply the makeup he bought on you that would be another extra fun video to make and fun for us to watch. just a thought!

Does anyone really think she’s good at makeup? She needs to take a master class in blending out her eyeshadow and warming up the skin. I understand she’s fair, but she looks deceased in every video. Are people actually taking advice or just hate watching?
Sadly I've transitioned from a subscriber to a hate watcher....I don't even watch anymore though, just pause the first few seconds and read through the comments. It's the same baby talk, mommy/girlfriend, bizarrely immature stuff every video.

This is exactly how my husband buys my makeup would go. He doesn’t know about makeup, would definitely buy the wrong shades etc.
When Dan thought it was going to be applied to himself, I thought oh that would be different. Future video? The weed palette has great colors. I like Clinique. It’s not reviewed as often.

I do think she helped Dan a lot but my boyfriend would've needed the same amount of help when it comes to "what is this product? Foundation or concealer?" And I wouldn't want to double buy my products either. I do think at some points she could've given him more free reign but tbh it wasn't as bad as what yall made it out to be lol

lolololol Dan picked the weed shadow. That's awesome and it all looked awesome. Nice emerald eyeliner for us May babies too. It all blende really well and Dan made great choices.
