  • One of the biggest complaints with Toyota's excellent GR Yaris is the exhaust note - or lack thereof. As such, I recently bought and installed a HKS Super Turbo Muffler for mine and in this video I show you how it's installed and then give you a review of the system.

Nice to see the switch-over go so cleanly! Certainly has made a difference it seems!

Glad you liked the exhaust it as much as I do. Had mine fitted before New Years and then added a opf delete a couple of months later. I hope the exhaust came with the revised bracket at the rear hanger(left side I believe), as earlier models used to burn the diffuser.
Anyways awesome content. Keep it up.
    Cheers!!!

I've had HKS exhausts on 2 of my cars and always love the sound of them, they're not obnoxious (due to JASMA) but always sound a bit meatier than stock. I am however, always a bit disappointed at the quality of materials for the money, I feel could be better.

I fitted this exact exhaust to my GR Yaris. It's great. The only slight annoyance is that it's almost 6kg heavier than the stock one. Rumour has it HKS has just released another one now that's lighter. Bummer

Yes the spec L 2 Hi power. 25% lighter then factory.

@@stu0500 That's right but the spec L2 Hi power has 10% more exhaust back pressure than the HKS super turbo muffler.

HKS always do this! They have 4 different exhausts for the s2000, depending on how expensive you want to go they go lighter and lighter...

I did, but I could source this one much easier due to availability.

@@TomBrooksMedia is the spec L ii a bit louder than the turbo muffler? Btw great presentation skills… it’s harder than it looks..👍

@@7RTW I’m afraid I haven’t had any first-hand experience with the Spec L. Thank you for the kind comment too!
