The song har 3 verses. Each verse is sang twice.
The very first dance with the Swedish sisters at the Samoan Swedish mafutaga 2018.
The song is simply about how the Samoan village princess/maiden performs her Samoan dance/Siva Samoa.
Beautiful and graceful in her every move. The dance movements synchronised with the rythem of clapping hands and live music.
Dance with grace and enjoy it. Smile is an important part of the dance. Keep that smile throughout the dance and set your eyes on the movement of the hands. Embrace the moment while all eyes are on you as not only you dance gracefully, you are dressed in traditionally wear which are of valuable national treasures.
Dance choreography:
Each verse has its own choreography and should be repeated according to the music.
Instrumental introduction ends at 00.17sec.
Start dancing verse 1 at 00.18 and ends at 00.48. Repeat immediately without a pause and ends at 01.20.
Short instrumental last for about 8 seconds.
Start dancing verse 2 at 01.29 and ends at 02.01. Repeat immediately without a pause and ends at 2.33.
Start dancing verse 3 at 2.35 and ends at 3.07.Note the short transition from verse 2. Repeat immediately withouta pause and ends 3.56.
Music ends at 3.56.
Listen to the music first and feel it. Start swaying just like you you would do to any other music.
Tips!
Watch the whole dance first. All moves repeats twice, 3-4 times. Do the counting.
Own it! You are right in your own learning.
