Kung Fu Panda 3 was also disappointment. Franchise was saved only by Paws of Furry being shockingly decent.
I mean. What could be in KFP3? Po become target of Lin Quei. He is saved by his father, who actually is a decent warrior. Everything look nice for a time. On one point later he find out that Shen survived and was saved by Soothsayer. But was forced by Lin Quey to pay his debet. Though at this point he lost faith in his way, realizing that he caused own downfall. Po try convince him to switch sides, but Po's father can't forgive him. This actually lead to Po being forced to face his own father, while not being sure if he can fully trust Shen. That actually would be F great drama! In the end Kai would be actually good as OP leader of Lin Quey, who force all three to team up in the end. Because as it is, you may basically skip KFP3 before Paws of Furry. Waste of time! In the end Shen decide to leave back to Soothsayer trying to redeem himself. Then Po's father take him to village, revealing that they can't fight. While his father vow to not use his skills, designed to kill anymore. So timeline stay the same.
