I received one of these as a gift, and I love it. It has become my daily pen for taking notes. The machining on the cap - both unscrewing and posting - is wonderful, and it hardly ever squeaks or sticks. I have small hands, so the size of the pen actually works pretty well for me!
Interesting lil bugger. Nice color too. I've yet to grab a Kaweco but at some point I feel that it is inevitable. Heard too many good things about them to not grab one. Thanks for the review!
I love my copper and brass Liliputs, but I honestly hated the flame treated one I had. It was quick to scratch and these weird spots showed up in place where it wouldn’t normally get worn. I got it because I enjoy anodized titanium, and even though the body was steel the look was close enough to the titanium look that I bought it.
Two things. 1. You can bye a clip for it, it may be a now thing sins I have only found the clip in copper. 2. They make a squiz converter for it. But it is so tiny so I think you probably would get more joy if you refill an old cartridge. I have fallen I love whit them recently I can fit two, one under the other on my travlers notebook and they feel perfect for me as an everyday pen for my planner to write down small bits of stuff.
I absolutely love it as my everyday pen, I have it inked with black for most usual ink When I seen the price I had to jump on it, I would consider upgrading to a Kaweco Gold nib since I find this my main use pen and always wanted to try a gold nib pen
I don't know why, but even among 10x more expensive pens, I always found the Liliput to be a brilliant writer and fairly comfortable to use. The one I have has perhaps the most reliable EF nib of all my pens, and unlike many German pens, it is actually true to being EF. For its price, it's an absolute wonder of a pen. Regarding the spelling of the name mentioned at 3:37; I believe Liliput with one L could simply be the German spelling, perhaps. Much like Dialog probably shouldn't be pronounced as the English word when talking about the pen.
I just got one of these a few days ago. Agree with the previous commenter who said it is a true EF, rather than like my Kaweco Sport EF or Lamy. I did have to tinker a bit to make it write wetter, and now it is good. You didn’t mention that a clip is available as an extra. I got the bronze one and it looks nice on the green. My cute little Liliput will live with my Traveler’s Notebook.
@@arlenealennox3136, I believe that's because he has previously mentioned that he has grown out of the "every pen should have a clip" mindset some time ago, so he probably didn't even think of it for this pen, but I could be wrong. I know it was mentioned in the Kaweco Sport review, and later in the Nakaya Decapod Twist review, I believe.
Mr Figboot, that lovely Visconti Viscontina should have a special location in the necktie to carry it. Take a look on the back side of the necktie. IIRC Luigi Poli, one of the two Visconti founders, designed the pen & tie to work together. The Viscontina is quite a rare and valuable pen. Thanks again for your wonderful efforts to bring us so many different FPs. As an aside, Luigi was bought out by his partner some years ago and is no longer directly involved.
Thank you very much for this review! In the future, i would like to see the size compared to some pens many people already have. Like a Lamy Safari for example. I have thought about buying a Liliput, but decided against it, because i already have 2 Lamy CP1 pens, which are slim and are perfect for my notebooks, and i find the need to screw in the cap too slow for note taking. This is what prevents me from using my TWSBI Minis more, even though i love these pens.
The reason I bought this pen while that it was inexpensive and it came with a double Broadnib which I like but is very very difficult to find an inexpensive pend and I absolutely love the pen I usually gravitate take the large pens but this is a lovely pain and writes beautifully. And I paid a lot less than $60 I think probably have that price although I can't remember exactly how much
@@FigbootonPens oh well that helps a lot! I was going by their website so they must have it wrong. I love lighter pens so that’s perfect. Do you happen to have a stainless steel version that you could weigh as well?
I love the size but it is a pain to use - to post it, it too a little more effort to do. To use it as a daily pen it just doesn't work, though it writes well.
How organized you are in your ink and pens makes me green with envy.

I recently acquired a Kaweco Sport. I use it as a daily writer for work. It feels amazing when you put the nib to even really cheap paper. IMO
Very nice pens , the ink capacity it lacking a bit but it’s to be expected from pocket pens
I particularly enjoyed your punny comment about the "small" difference in spelling of Liliput between Kaweco and Jonathan Swift!
I didn’t get the mini booklet and sticker in mine 😭
You can use their squeeze converter in the Liliput :)

Do you feel like a giant when using it? I like to pretend I'm a giant sometimes when eating tiny food.
😂
Nice to see the 'tina again! I really wasn't expecting you to like the Liliput, given your preference for larger pens.

Regarding the piston converter not fitting. Kaweco mades a squeeze converter that does correctly fit inside of the liliput.

I had thought about that...but couldn't find any reference to a "single L" version in German. Oh well...

One of the things I look forward to in your videos.. are your rubik's cube arrangements. C",)

how do you refill this pen? do you use a converter?

Ohh thank you, very helpful.
This was a good little review, but I don’t know where you are getting 8g for weight. On their website It says it weighs 16g In aluminum
I weigh and measure everything myself. Just weighed it again on two different scales. Both have it at 8g.

Size of Kaweco Sport is Perfect
But Design of LilyPut is sum thng else
Liliput most likely only has one "L" in it since it is derived from the German version of Gulliver's Travels instead of the English one.
I love the size but it is a pain to use - to post it, it too a little more effort to do. To use it as a daily pen it just doesn't work, though it writes well.
I am the 300th like. Yay 😂
Too small. But very pretty.
I really don’t like pocket pens. I don’t have one so I guess I should say, I don’t like the idea of pocket pens. Enjoy your work. Thanks.
"Liliput" is the (not political correct) word, germans use for midgets. ✌️😅
