  • You're looking up:
    "Where to stay in Japan?"
    "What to do in Japan?"
    Then you start hearing the "cha-ching" sound as you start calculating things. The biggest expense would probably be flight and accommodations, huh? You can still enjoy the trip AND do lots while on a budget!
    You're traveling on a budget and looking for some place safe, comfortable, budget-friendly, and convenient. Most hotels will rack you up a bill for over $2,000. But for under $1000 in 2 weeks you can stay at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Toyocho in Tokyo!
    The subway station is right outside and across the street is the convenient airport limousine bus so you dont have to worry about catching the subway and lugging your suitcases during rush hour to make your flight!
    If you enjoyed this video and found it somewhat helpful, please help me out and leave a like! I'll make another video with recommendation on where to stay in Osaka!*

    Hey, I just returned from Japan and I stayed at Toyocho Fresa Inn with your recommendation and it was great. I like the hotel and location. It was so close to the station. Also there is another entrance to the station besides the one you mentioned just past McDonald’s on the corner. I paid like $620 for 10 nights at Toyocho during golden week. I will see if there is another Sotetsu Fresa Inn in the middle of Tokyo next time. Maybe Shinjuku or Ginza area? I’m planning to return in September. Btw, the prices for hotels are going to be going up considerably this year as tourists are flooding the city. Take care!

      Thank you so much for your comment!! I hope you had an amazing time! Yes, i totally forgot to mention the other entrance! I wonder if the prices also vary by location. Definitely helps if it's closer in the middle of tokyo. When i go back i'll probably look for another Sotetsu hotel as well since!

    I just got back, and I stayed at nishitetsu Inn, shinjuku. Everything was close. There was a McDonald's across the street, a police station, restaurants, Family Mart, etc. The hotel had a locker in the lobby, so you were allowed to check in and store them if the room wasn't ready. I had a layer over on my way back in Honolulu so, I enjoyed the hell out of that and even added two days extra.

      I havent stayed at many hotels and the other I did stay at unfortunately closed during covid. I would probably recommend looking up the next closest Sotetsu Fresca since they're a chain. Hopefully the prices arent a lot more!
      My recommendation is if you're looking for hotels to also pull up a map on google and see how far it is from the train station. It'll help out a lot and saves you so much time having to walk from your accommodation to the station!

      Hi! It's located in Tokyo but i think the area/neighborhood would be considered Toyo? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. The train station would be Toyocho station if that helps!

    Thanks so much for the video. We are coming from Narita Airport. Which train station is the hotel in? Also for the limousine bus is there one to Narita?

    • @xtigerleelee
      @xtigerleelee  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi! Thank you SO MUCH for watching! The station right underneath the hotel is the Toyocho station. I just checked and it looks like the limousine bus in Toyocho only goes to Haneda (please correct me if I'm wrong).
      I would probably check the next closest limousine bus stop and see if you can get on/off that one. If you decide to stay at a different hotel, definitely keep the limousine bus in mind in case there's one close by!
      Happy and safe travels!

      Hi there 👋🏻 I came across your vlog as I'm searching for a real budget place to stay since I'm heading there next week.
      You've mentioned the limo bus, is it totally free or is there a substantial fee one has to pay to reach the hotel? Is it only for that stipulated hotel you're staying or practically for all? Thanks for sharing. 🙏🏻

      @xtigerleelee  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @joycetan4684 thank you for watching! It is not free. You would have to buy a ticket. Please find their route online since one can go to haneda and one goes to narita!

    Hi. I’m going to be there in Tokyo alone for the first time ever in May for 10 days. I’m coming in from Haneda airport. So cheapest way to get from airport to this hotel is train, but bus seems less headache without transfer? Also what if I want to get around Tokyo ? Should I just get a train/rail pass like JR pass, buy individual pass for where I want to go specifically , or just walk? I don’t plan to take a day visit to another city since it’s my first time in Japan and likely need all 10 days to enjoy Tokyo, but if I do, should I buy it in advance for like Yokohama ? Thx.

      Hi! To get around tokyo i would recommend train and walk. JR pass is not needed. But you will need a card to load up money (suica or pasmo) when you go in and out of the train station. I think they have an app option now if you dont want to hold a physical card. For Yokohama just the train and walk will suffice. No JR pass needed. Have fun!

    Whatever you do don't stay in APA hotels unless you want a really horrible experience and the owners of APA are some of the most vile people in Japan. Unfortunately #onlyinjapan got paid to endorse them so I stopped watching his channel. I won't be supporting people who take money from vile people.

      I read up about that! When i was looking for hotels a lot of APA popped up and i was purposely trying to avoid it.
