- This interview with Emma Watson and Rupert Grint was filmed shortly after the first film in the Harry Potter franchise had premiered in 2001 - Harry Potter and the Philosopher´s Stone.
For all Americans wondering why I wrote "Philosopher's Stone" and not "Sorcerer's stone":
"Philospher's stone" = The original, British title.
"Sorcerer's stone" = The American title.
The title change was proposed by J. K. Rowlings American publisher, since they were concerned that Americans would not understand what a Philosopher is, given that it isn't the same in American English. This has, however, led to criticism as some argue that the title change might have been insulting to Americans.

Daniel wrote a single page.
Rupert didn't even make one.

I also heard that shortly after Emma Watson had won the role of Hermione Granger (correct me if I'm wrong) she had a telephone call with J.K Rowling herself. And she apparently spoke, with excitement and enthusiasm, for over 1 solid minute without stopping. J.K Rowling just loved it and said "Emma. You're perfect, okay. You're just too perfect. I have great faith in you". Something like that.

Why do I feel like Emma's attitude is way beyond her years in this interview?
The simple answer is because, well, she is. She is way beyond her years, she's very poise and intelligent. If you want a complicated answer then it's because the casting directors had carefully chosen the actors to play each part and Emma just so happened to be extremely talented and extremely intelligent, she's extraordinary, she's elegant. If this was a rhetorical question then, ignore my response and i'll crawl back into my hole.
Because she IS way beyond her years in maturity. THAT'S what makes her such a wonderful Hermione!

I am the only one who think that 11 years old Emma is more confident and in ease in interviews that the 23 years old ? I think that's because she now a adult people can be a lot more judgmental (physiccaly and all). I think the shyness in the 23 years old Emma is really attractive.

We in the Flanders (the dutch part of Belgium ) we have the biggest HATE on movies or books or tv-series or whatever that are getting dubbed, things need to stay how they are, how the writers want them to be. First, because it is a million times better, and second, just out of respect.
Different cultures... even ones with nearly identical language use different words for similar if not identical concepts. Like switching bathroom for lu/loo (I don't know how it's spelled) tv for telly, nipote for Sobrino etc.

I am not used to seeing them so little. I was the biggest Rupert Grint fan. I had the biggest crush on Rupert back in the day. I just remember always talking about him and stuff and looking at how little he looks here it kind of feels odd but then I remember what he looks like now as an adult and like oh yeah Ron was my favorite character in the Harry Potter movies. the weirdest thing is when I used to always talk about how it hopefully like to get Rupert Maybe for myself a couple years ago I met a guy with red hair who looks similar to Donald Gleason that his friends teasingly calls him Ron so in a way I almost had a Ron for myself.
They handle this interview so well, when I was 11 I was a walking disaster!!!! Hahaha this is so fun to watch.
