Amazing place and very interesting to see many different types of relics. History can be hard to hear, but it is worth remembering. My grandfather was in the Navy during World War I a few of his sons followed in his footsteps. My brother was in Vietnam ended up with cancer from agent orange. He passed away about 2017. See you next time ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

You have access to so much history. Interpretations of history changes as our ancestors pass on. My Hungarian grandfather, my German grandfather, my Hungarian grandmother, all came to the US in the early 1900's. A farmer and bootlegger; a Lutheran minister who traveled to parts of the US. All are family histories that I can pick and choose of what to remember. I am saddened to have lost the familial roots that were destroyed because of WW1 and WW11. Such a waste! Everything that you find can be an important part of history. The beer bottles, the ships pottery, the medals. Thank you and be careful for unexploded ordinance.😊

History, I love it. And indeed, history writers have the tendency to do some cherry picking and bend things and facts a little their own way. Soon a story on YT about a German vessel that completely disappeared in history because it was German. And people had other things on their mind. And I try to be careful with ordinance and I do not collect it. MB.

Sometimes I worry for you walking on the rocks. It's so easy to slip and go down. Please always stay safe 🙏 😊

Thank you for your concern. I wear safety boots and have knee caps, use a walking stick for the tricky parts. I do hope that will be enough all the time. MB.

Not been there yet, but been to Hamburg last weekend, at the Elbe. Covered by far not all locations there ofcourse, and no good mudlarkbeach found yet but beautifull beaches for sure. And the river dunes on which parts of the city are being built .. unexpected for sure!

Very heavy metal this shore. Amazed bottles can survive. Would this area have much trench art? Thanks for the tour.

Most bottles did not survive unfortunately. And trench art can be found in old city garbage. Not at this location. MB.

Wow! What a fascinating stretch of shoreline! Thanks for taking us along. I would imagine armoured boots are a necessity there!
So did they dump all this straight in the river or was it buried inland and the river came and eroded the dump later?
    Thanks again MB.

All this material came from the bottom of a harbor. Later it was dredged up and dumped here to reinforce the shore. Now the river is slowly eroding the lot and one day there will be nothing more left of it. MB.
