Strap may seem flimsy but it is durable. I have used that model at truck mechanics job for many years. Yes it scratches easily but its thin and slim and fully plastic (doesn't conduct electricity). Also good contrast in the dial so you tell the time it even in low light conditions. Definetly recommended for mechanics and other physical labourers.

I had the black dial orange numbers version (£20 beater) until I made a hash of a battery change. Always meant to get another. It is probably the best selling watch in Japan for a reason.
I used to wear this watch many years ago and I loved it except one thing. It is not water resistant. I took shower wearing this watch and water got in a bit and made it hard to check the time. Now I’m wearing a158wa and there is nothing to complaint about it.

Yeah, it’s no g-shock but I like its simplicity. Glad you’re happy now you have the A158. 👍🏻
