- Discover a surprising 12-minute technique for insulating a frame house using a vapor barrier. This DIY loft insulation method incorporates advanced construction technology to make the process quick and efficient. Say goodbye to traditional insulation methods and hello to platform technology!
We will try to answer your questions in the comments.
Sincerely,
Harsh Carpenter

thank you so much for such a quick response I am learning as much as I can because I'm going to be building a cabin on my property that I bought way out in the middle of nowhere so thank you so much and thank you for email
@@Kate-turbokateproducts Stay with us, I’m sure we can continue to be useful to you in mastering frame construction. There are still many projects ahead that we want to show.
@@harshcarpenter you guys are absolutely amazing I'm learning a lot by watching! I'm 70 getting ready to build my first house
Excellent build quality, terrific craftsmanship. Where is the electrical?
If only half of the industry had this much pride in their work we would be doing great 👍👍
Excellent jobs. Your videos are very enjoyable. Your method is very good and the results look great.
I love how meticulous you are with every little detail. This was a joy to watch & it was cool to learn the process. You are an outstanding worker! Bravo!
So satisfying to watch!
Great build, timber framing but executed at a high level. Everything fits very well together and insulation is fitted and taped as it should be. Certainly a warm and cosy house!
Thank you! It's nice to see an adequate assessment of our work.
Man very nice, done right, insulated very well. Good job 👏👍
Love the work...
Secondly you gotta pray to God that no fire should ever catch this home....
These guys have to be building this for them. I don’t know any who this quality of work for others. Sad to say.
So true! I lived in Dallas, Tx and watched homes get built by Pulte and DR Horton. Made me sick at how many corners they cut in quality.
Seems to me being Scandinavia rather then the US/Canada, looking at the windows. These ppl know about quality, for sure.
@zachp7603 nope, its in the states..
@@davewhite768I don’t think so
@@jeffballard5712 You are so right. There is so many who call themself carpenter but in reality I don't realy know if they are aprentice. Today, if you owne a house and you can not do any kind of jobs by yourself, you are in deep shit.
Thanks for sharing. I plan to build a cabin with my teenage son. You guys do a great job. I subscribed to support. Thanks again.
Very clean work
TB sou carpinteiro, construtor de casas e chalés, cara adorei seu trabalho!!! Simply amazing! Congratulations!
Obrigado colega!
Really good job .. professional team 😊
Thanks 🙌🏻🤗
Top Arbeit 👍
good job ❤
I wish I had a house built by these guys. And what about electrical wire and plumbing. And water. It would be hard to put all these other things in after you put up all this insulation
I think that’s what the wood is for for the wires. There should not be any plumbing done on the outside walls is what I read and been told.
Wow you guys are the bomb
How will the rooms be ventilated? I didn't see any ventilation chimneys on the roof.
Beautiful, precise work, bravo!
Será necessária ventilação, mas já será feita por outros especialistas.
@@harshcarpenter I see :)
Congratulations once again, great job!
@harshcarpenter Tell me this please, if you haven't being using polypropelyne boards as a second layer of insulation then the mechanical ventilation wouldn't be necessary, correct?
Or I am wrong?
If the room is heated, then a vapor barrier and ventilation are required. Warm air is humid. It cannot be allowed into the insulation, and to prevent it from accumulating, there must be ventilation.
In this project, ventilation will be done later - by the customer. @mladentodorovic5353
Dayum!!!
Didn't see any wiring or plumbing roughed in before the insulation was installed?
Excuse me: what did you clad the exterior walls with? (Plywood/OSB, metal sheets,...)
❤❤❤
🥰🥰🥰
I have never seen this in Lowes. I do have a piling house and it needs new insulation under it. Birds are making nests in the old insulation.
That house will be a great place to move, for any kind of rodent.
DIY'r chimmimg in. Without naming brand what is that underneath and how long roughly would a 15x35 off grade out building take. Just doing under belly
Now i want to see the rest of the job...
☺️👍
I would like to know what type of products you're using to do the work you're doing I'm fascinated with what you're doing but I don't know what insulation you're using or what vapor barrier are you using this would be helpful❤❤
A vapor barrier must be used inside the house. As a rule, this is a thick polyethylene film... sometimes it comes with reinforced threads. A windproof membrane must be used outside the house. I don’t give the names of specific brands. But give your choice to those that are average or above average in cost. I do not recommend using cheap materials.
What kind of insulation is that
@@stalker80I was thinking Finland. Somewhere very cold.
@@Newcreature1957Looks like mineral wool.

What kind of insulation is this
Did you guys not run any electric or plumbing?
We are not electricians or plumbers. We are carpenters! ;)
@@harshcarpenter that’s one really nice shed you built. Built better then a lot people’s homes
Perhaps I missed it in video, but I didn’t see any electrical/sheet metal/plumbing in walls prior to insulating???
There shouldn’t be any plumbing on the outside of the walls. The wood is probably for putting wires through. I like to see what came next after installing the wood.
@@devilblueduke that could account for the plumbing. How about sheet metal? Way bigger than the furred out 1x’s he was installing.
Where is this being built? In Texas and Oklahoma USA, we spray foam w closed cell. Also never seen a wrap used w/o some form a hard wall sheathing (osb, etc).
They probably use a wooden cladding which is sturdy enough in itself, unlike the PVC used in the USA. Also rockwool is a much better choice as ot allows the wood to breath, spray foam is used because its fast and cheap, but often leads to rot. In the UK you can't even get a mortgage for a house with spray foam in it.
Plumbing? Wiring? Is this a off grid no power or water house?
Plumbing and wiring is the next step after this video. The battens offer a service void without disturbing the vapour barrier.
@@Tom-Lahayeand that is a great idea. Its stupid in N.America how we create a vapour barrier and then punch holes all through it for electrical, HVac and plumbing... and then try to reseal 🙄 it. Completely rediculous.
Are those OSHA approved sandals? 😅
These are HK approved sandals
☺️👍
Anybody see any electrical? Plumbing? HVAC?
those will be done later by plumbers and electricians. I read in other comments they just do all the carpentry, roofing, and insulation. customer later hires other tradesmen
@@PatricioGarcia1973 I guess they surface run everything? 🤷🏽
So no electricity, no plumbing, got it.
