The blue carpet for the Independent Spirit Awards kicked off in Santa Monica, California, on Saturday afternoon. Zoey Deutch was one of the first to arrive for the daytime event as she shined in a black off-the-shoulder dress that had double-breasted buttons and came below the knee. The redhead had her hair up and wore pretty light pink makeup. The 23-year-old Why Him? actress added pointy black slingback heels that added five inches to her 5ft4in frame. Comedians Nick Kroll and John Mulaney are hosting the event which takes place just yards from the Pacific Ocean.
