What's with that second question and "the first 100 days". That's an American thing, the much vaunted "first hundred days". And in today's world of increasing complexity and available information, making a bold move in the first 100 days is not necessarily wise. I'd rather the PM act wisely than hastily.

In 2010 the Conservative vote was 36%. In 2014 it was 37%. In 2017 it was 42%. In 2019 it was 43%.

That comment about about the newly appointed Prison Minister saying only a third of people in prison should be there is worrying. If they committed prison worthy crimes shouldn’t they indeed be there? Totally understand the need to support greater rehabilitation but not keen on any policy of not sending prison worthy criminals to prison or making the threat of prison less impactful than it should be...
I would guess might be criticizing the length of sentences?
Perhaps review why a prison industrial complex and lengthy sentences is not a good outcome.
The majority of prisoners are people who were already in prison at one point... prison is not very good at stopping crime. Now, I'm not saying prison should not exist but it's a complex issue that even with some light on it might have smarter people than myself looking for solutions.
