Hey guys, I was the voice of Grisha McLaggen in this. Thank you so much to Tryangle Films for giving me this opportunity, it was an honour working on this film. Why are so many people being so negative? For a fan made project, this is seriously impressive! Just think about the effort and time this took to make. It's not "garbage" just because it wasn't what you were expecting. It is a very impressive short film, and these people should be praised for that.

JK Rolling could make some amazing movies within the harry potter universe. A backstory of Voldemort, the backstory of Dumbledore. It would be an amazing franchise!
From what we saw in his past he wasn’t really a outgoing rude person to those around him, the whole thing about him is that no one saw his descent into the dark arts coming

This is absolutely professional and this actor plays almost better, than in the movies cause he is even more naughty and badass here, and even the expression in his eyes looks really evil and dangerous and if he kills Hephzibah and before, his eyes look really Psycho. Amazing! It would be great to make a film of Voldis whole life. This is such gorgeous!!!
I don’t think young Tom would go off on another student let alone be prideful in front of anyone. He’s always shown to be manipulative and keeps a facade at all times. He would have kept a lot of his feelings to himself, be calm and collected until the time to strike.

The only scene that really bothered me was, despite it looking visually beautiful, was the scene with Merope and baby Tom playing with the locket. Merope sold the locket when she was still pregnant, and died very shortly after giving birth to Tom. That scene was never possible.
I cannot express enough how AMAZING this movie was. I just wanna turn one of my fanfics into a script and give someone to make it come to life. Bravo!!!!

She was defending a DOCTOR who got fired for believing in basic biology. If our doctors can't acknowledge the realities of the human body, then there is no need for doctors.
I wish they could have made tom less cheezy in this film. In the books he was silent and charming. He didnt appear over confident and cocky. They completely went off with that one. He wasn’t loudly saying he would be the greatest wizard in the world. Only Dumbledore was able to even see what he would become.
I agree with this too, it was the only critique I have because it's brilliant! But when I saw how Tom acts and his dialogue it doesn't hit it. Because he has never shown his true intentions as well.
True still can’t blame the fans for trying their best. Still he could have lost his temper in that scene when the student called him Muggle, and for a moment his veneer shattered as he vented his true persona for a moment

I really wish J.K.Rowling made more movies connected with Voldemort and his beginnings instead of focusing on the Fantastic Beasts and the crimes of Grindelwald. However, I am really happy this movie was able to bring me back the feeling of excitement and joy of being once again in the wizarding world. All the actors were amazing, the story and plot-twist were surprisingly good. The only thing that bothered me was the audio and the overused close-ups on the eyes of literally every character. However, Great job!

He Maybe wouldn’t have talked about him being the greatest wizard, but his greatest weakness has always been his anger and emotional outbreaks, you see that in CoS and GoF, especially in his early years. And he didn’t mind lying about his opinions but not about something that little important as Quidditch when they have already been friends and she was in love, so there was no need to manipulate her

I really love how you took a line only spoken in Chamber of Secrets (Enemies of the heir beware) and turned it into Voldemort’s whole thing for this fanfilm. The ending is probably my favorite part of the whole thing. Great job!
Man, the actor that played Tom did really, really, really good job. He's really intimidating. That's talent. Remids me a little bit of Anthony Star's Homelander

I mean, for a fanmade film it was okay, I liked it. I don't know why people want it to be as good as the oficial ones, it's imposible. Like, can we enjoy What other people of our fanbase did for ones? Show some support?
I'm deeply touched with the care you guys took in making this for all of us. I mean, just the initiative in making a movie with THIS QUALITY IS AMAZING, but we can see how hard you all worked to reach all Potterheads in the world. I myself am a brazilian and didn't expected the subtitles and seeing now that you're not native english speakers and dubbed it all so more people could understand is extremely sweet and touching. Thank you so much!!! The movie is beautiful, ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING. I loved every minute of it and I can't quite describe how grateful I am for this magical experience. The best fan film I ever watched, no doubt. The cinematography, the visual effects... It's perfect, I didn't expect such quality and attention. How accurate the murder of Hepzibah Smith was?! NICE! Only for that the movie was already worth it. Plus, Stefano Rossi... You're the Tom I asked Merlin for. Loved how evil, charming, clever and arrogant you were during the entire thing. Anyway, without a question the best choice for our clever boy Tom. And again, thanks for everyone envolved in this project, it was above my expectations and just made my day! Para todos los que se quejan del audio, efectos, etc. NO la hizo Warner, bien dice "fanfilm" sí, tiene sus defectos pero se agradece que las personas se tomen el tiempo y hagan el esfuerzo por relatar algo que nos gusta. A mi parecer estuvo bien hecha y apegada al universo de HP, fue grato recordarlo y, una vez más, agradezco el que hicieran algo así de un personaje que nos acompañó a los lectores/espectadores de la saga. Tienes toda la razón! Para ser hecha por fans estuvo impecable, maquillaje, casting, efectos, ambientación, todo, se entiende lo del audio porque el tipo de micrófonos que usan para grabar películas son carisimos y obviamente el presupuesto de los fans no da para alto tan caro

Apart from the voice sync (too bad the actors weren't speaking english), the music is intense, the color grading is stunning and the overall film is well executed ! Refreshing to explore other aspects of Tom Riddle's life, his obsession with noble magical artefacts for the horcruxes is well depainted. Much impressive !
They were well cast in terms of looks, but there's a few inconsistencies with Tom Riddle. One of his traits all the way through is that the mask never slipped, and Dumbledore was the only one who saw him for what he really was. He charmed and manipulated everyone around him, and would not have allowed his emotions to show through, and always remembered that he had told Dumbledore too much on their first meeting. He was careful to never do it again with anyone. Other than that, pretty well done.
We know he kept the charming mask with professors, but in order to win respect in Slytherin as a no-name half-blood - one probably assumed to be a *mudblood* at first - he had to show some ruthlessness. Especially to win the loyalty of Mulciber, Avery, Lestrange, Nott and Rosier.
@@theopportuneson699 I mean theres a time gap. All those people you listed went to Hogwarts a whole decade after tom. So he may have done those things as Voldemort, not tom.
@@tiffanysamuels279 In _The Half-Blood Prince,_ Slughorn told Avery (the blond boy from Slughorn’s memory in the movie version) and Lestrange (the boy sitting at the table end on Tom’s right) to turn in their homework. We also know for a fact Nott was in the Slug Club at the time of Tom Riddle. Nott in fact was the son of the man who wrote “The Sacred Twenty-Eight.” Just how far did the no-name boy from a Muggle orphanage have to go to get these boy’s respect? I sincerely doubt talking to a snake once or twice did the trick.

He was so popular bc he was friend with the sacred 28 heirs, beautiful, extremely smart and a teachers pet that acted kind to everyone. I am happy that they showed the scene with Hepziba Smith, cause it appears only in the book "Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince" and I have read it so many times that I wanted to see it as a scene in a film once, even if it wasn't in the official movie.
Aside from the dubbing cause they're aren't native English speakers, the cinematography and cgi is amazing. I'm not sure about the story telling. Near the ending I was like "what, is that it??". I wanted some more. But I really appreciate everyone who's involved in the film for their hard work overall

I've been a Harry Potter fan from the start. Read all the books and watched all the film's. I truly applaud you all on this fan film. The dedication and hours of hard work you put into this truly showed and it's a unique take to the Voldemort story line. As a Potter fan I had a wonderful time watching this. Hepzibah was fatter and more exuberant in the book. Physically she would resemble more of the Hepzibah we see in the French fan film The Master of Death.

Story sucks, audio through all the movie sucks, the effects look like the flash not HP for most, actors are bad, the movie is dubbed so main voices aren't at the right time to fit the character... should I continue ?
tbh the audio is not the best and doesn’t fit the characters, which sucks... but the aesthetics and photography of this movie is great!! greater than most movies i’ve seen

Not strictly true, depends if you go by book or movie canon. In the first book the philosophers stone it is described very clearly he has slits of nostrils, so certainly even if he had a nose it would have looked very warped!
As fan films go, i was bit skeptical at first. But, i have to say, i was actually surprised with the output. Thank you all of the people for making this possible. The music was on point and the actors were great too especially the one who played Tom. Potterhead for life ❤❤❤ Absolutely loved it !!
I would say the acting wasn't much better than in The Room. Music might be well composed but rather bad timing. The cutting and paceing was really bad as well.

I would die a happy man if a true prequel was made about Tom Riddle’s formative years and his ascent to the dark side. My favourite of the books was always The Half Blood Prince, because we got to learn so much about Voldemort’s back story from the private lessons between Harry and Dumbledore. It would be amazing to learn even more.

For a fan based film, this is very well done. Yes, there are a few flaws, in the sense of constructive critism , such as the lip-sync, some parts of the dialogue,and some of the shots during the interrogation scenes. However, the Hepzibah Smith scene was definetely the best, and I think that, overall, in general, I´m looking forward to other coverings of Voldemort´s memories!!!

The only scene that really bothered me was, despite it looking visually beautiful, was the scene with Merope and baby Tom playing with the locket. Merope sold the locket when she was still pregnant, and died very shortly after giving birth to Tom. That scene was never possible.

I wish they could have made tom less cheezy in this film. In the books he was silent and charming. He didnt appear over confident and cocky. They completely went off with that one. He wasn’t loudly saying he would be the greatest wizard in the world. Only Dumbledore was able to even see what he would become.

I really wish J.K.Rowling made more movies connected with Voldemort and his beginnings instead of focusing on the Fantastic Beasts and the crimes of Grindelwald. However, I am really happy this movie was able to bring me back the feeling of excitement and joy of being once again in the wizarding world. All the actors were amazing, the story and plot-twist were surprisingly good. The only thing that bothered me was the audio and the overused close-ups on the eyes of literally every character. However, Great job!

Apart from the voice sync (too bad the actors weren't speaking english), the music is intense, the color grading is stunning and the overall film is well executed !
Refreshing to explore other aspects of Tom Riddle's life, his obsession with noble magical artefacts for the horcruxes is well depainted. Much impressive !
and apart from the fact it looks like Hogwarts is filled with University aged kids vs actual kids :P but yes, not bad.
They were well cast in terms of looks, but there's a few inconsistencies with Tom Riddle. One of his traits all the way through is that the mask never slipped, and Dumbledore was the only one who saw him for what he really was. He charmed and manipulated everyone around him, and would not have allowed his emotions to show through, and always remembered that he had told Dumbledore too much on their first meeting. He was careful to never do it again with anyone. Other than that, pretty well done.
Voldemort's whole thing was he was charming and liked by everyone. He would never go mask off with other students.
We know he kept the charming mask with professors, but in order to win respect in Slytherin as a no-name half-blood - one probably assumed to be a *mudblood* at first - he had to show some ruthlessness. Especially to win the loyalty of Mulciber, Avery, Lestrange, Nott and Rosier.

We also know for a fact Nott was in the Slug Club at the time of Tom Riddle. Nott in fact was the son of the man who wrote “The Sacred Twenty-Eight.”

I am happy that they showed the scene with Hepziba Smith, cause it appears only in the book "Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince" and I have read it so many times that I wanted to see it as a scene in a film once, even if it wasn't in the official movie.
Aside from the dubbing cause they're aren't native English speakers, the cinematography and cgi is amazing. I'm not sure about the story telling. Near the ending I was like "what, is that it??". I wanted some more. But I really appreciate everyone who's involved in the film for their hard work overall

Story sucks, audio through all the movie sucks, the effects look like the flash not HP for most, actors are bad, the movie is dubbed so main voices aren't at the right time to fit the character... should I continue ?

Not strictly true, depends if you go by book or movie canon. In the first book the philosophers stone it is described very clearly he has slits of nostrils, so certainly even if he had a nose it would have looked very warped!
I love it how underacted this is. The voiceover is fine, but the lackluster on-screen performances make the overdubs painfully obvious.
As fan films go, i was bit skeptical at first. But, i have to say, i was actually surprised with the output.

No sé cómo pueden haber personas que le den dislike a un fanfilm, ¡por amor a Dios! Deberían de valorar el esfuerzos que hicieron los actores para esto, que a mí parecer es bastante bueno lo que hicieron y que espero haya segunda parte. Claro, se sabe que siempre van a haber críticas pero... Deberían de ver que no hubo un financiamiento como para una película de Hollywood y aun así, la película quedó excelente. 👍 Buen reparto, buena edición, buena trama.

My favourite of the books was always The Half Blood Prince, because we got to learn so much about Voldemort’s back story from the private lessons between Harry and Dumbledore. It would be amazing to learn even more.
Complimenti! Questo film oltre ad essere bellissimo manda anche un bel messaggio! Siete riusciti a catturare perfettamente la psicologia di Voldemort e ad inventare personaggi con un certo spessore. L'ultima scena con Karkaroff era davvero geniale.

For a fan based film, this is very well done. Yes, there are a few flaws, in the sense of constructive critism , such as the lip-sync, some parts of the dialogue,and some of the shots during the interrogation scenes. However, the Hepzibah Smith scene was definetely the best, and I think that, overall, in general, I´m looking forward to other coverings of Voldemort´s memories!!!
