I'm a Celtics fan and I thought that the pacers played a hell of a series. Celtics defense was key in closing the pacers out allowing no points in the final 333 of the game and obviously the holiday steal in game 3
Yeah y’all sleep on Mavs even if Mavs don’t sweep wolves they still beat Celtics cause they competed remain to be seen if Celtics would close games are not being tested if not playing them at best Celtics was never tested and bout to be tested in finals Mavs was tested all playoffs without Kawahi being there but don’t act like harden pg and Russ wasn’t there and that’s big for your stars
The speed and shooting of Indiana is almost impossible to handle & they have 2 solid big men. Indiana beats anybody but Boston. Boston is the only team that can compete with that speed & athleticism. Boston has 2 elite defenders at guard strong enough & tall enough to also defend forwards, and the Boston forwards are elite athletes that can also cover the athletic guards. So Boston can defensively match the speed of Indiana and not get crushed by the pick & roll or multiple screen game given they can just switch 100% of the time as their 4 primary defenders can guard anyone anywhere on the floor. Indiana would have won the title if Boston lost prior to this match up. Also, Jaylen Brown & Derek White have a piece of that Larry Bird factor, where they rise up when everyone else gets tight. White seems to have had that since he joined the team. Brown discovered it in these playoffs and its very freaking cool to see.
And the fact the world written kyrie off as a player but person just off that alone this a redemption run but the fact that it’s happening against Boston the city where the reputation started and basically against the same core he was leading leaving Lebron is something to point out too kyrie was there not just for that team and city but with those same core guys like Luka and Porzingis too meaning first time in finals almost seeing a group of stars already knowing each other to a T so it’s really who the better player or became the better player now which makes it even more hostile or big time when they play Boston as city might get carried away can Celtics finally win one Luka finally reaching the big lights it should be good would’ve been just as sweet if it was Brooklyn or kd facing Brooklyn
Let's say they win and portzingus doesn't play. Do you keep him? Derek White might cost you something and he played well for a role player. Someone might offer him a good deal. Brown and portzingus are locked up Holiday. Pretty sure Tatum is taking the bag . Do you trade the unicorn for depth pieces?
This off-season is like my clippers to look at Derek White and TJ McConnell Instead of Russ. Even if he sign in id trade him for a mid to late first in this yrs draft with thoughts guys in mind. We could use both. At that point bones Hyland and Russ become less valuable to keep. 😊
And that’s another reason I want Mavs to win yall going to finally admit they’re not ready yet until they show it no matter coaching etc but for the last 6 years had the most chances out of any team and couldn’t win the big one
So for sake of convo are we going to say Porzingis not being there the reason they lost if they do with all the weapons they got it comes off like come on now then that’s already admitting not enough fire power to compete with them already being better team take time to hear what you actually saying how they better than Mavs even without Porzingis but need Porzingis to win
Rick said they had no quit... but he benched the starters in game 2 or 3 I cant remember with like 9 mins left in the game and the celts were only up like 8 at the time. And each game they gave up with mins left in the game and acted like highschool players not NBA players.
