Pick n mix is a a type of sweets or "candy" in the uk. We've had pick n mix shops for decades. Shops like "Woolworths" or "woolies" were a staple of British childhood during the 90s Basically candy shops where you can pick your candy buffet style, cram as much as you can into a bag. Me and my friends would try different packing techniques to get the best money's worth. If you put the heavier bits like chocolate mice, or fudge/caramels on top you can cram the bag with buttons and cola bottles 👌
I very much enjoyed Naomi as a guest. Also unrelated I know Vanity Milan gets a lot of smoke for her wigs and wardrobe and sometimes us POCs come get her a little harder because unfortunately she's our only representation this season but I think it is important to remember that she has only been doing drag a year, and holding her own. No one is coming at her harder, it may only feel that way because she IS the only black person this season so you may feel she needs more slack by other black people when discussing the show, but in reality they were being very fair across the board in their critiques. We can definitely be a little sensitive when our own is being criticized but she wasn’t even critiqued the hardest by them lmbo. As much as I like her, I just don’t think she was ready to be on drag race yet but I do hope that this exposure will give her better opportunities and she comes back even harder on an All Stars season like Monét did.
