What drove me away was the bloat and they moved away from what made it unique. It went from a jack game to a troop game.

ARRRGGGG youtube has done me dirty. I have not been on you tube for just watching vids for a bit and the evil algorithm did not tell me you have been doing vids.. so mad at it right now have to go back and watch a whole bunch of them now.. while I paint my minis...and thump that like button so it know how disappointed I am with it.. BAD algorithm BAD!!!!!

Privateer pushed me away by 1) Making my entire collection obsolete and 2) Changing the rules so severely that it wasn't even Warmachine any more.
If Steamforged can bring Warmachine back to Warmachine, I'll give them a chance.

For me, they changed the look of the game way way to much. The new models look far to future tech for me. I preferred the low steam tech of the early models. That had such a great look with the fantasy mixed in.

I haven’t looked the whole product line, but I saw a lot of cannons, muskets, swords, balloons etc. Honestly to me that stuff looked more like something from Warcraft rather than science fiction. Maybe some of the forces have now become a bit too sleek.
