- How can nonprofits and philanthropy help America come together after the election? And how can you navigate any political fallout at holiday family gatherings? Author and nonprofit leader Mónica Guzmán speaks to these questions when joined Chronicle Editor-in-Chief Andrew Simon for The Commons in Conversation.
Guzmán, the founder and CEO of Reclaim Curiosity, is the author of I Never Thought of It That Way: How to Have Fearlessly Curious Conversations in Dangerously Divided Times. She is also a senior fellow for public practice at Braver Angels, a nonprofit working to depolarize America, and host of A Braver Way, a podcast to help people bridge political divides in their everyday lives.
About the series: The Commons in Conversation is a series of exclusive, one-on-one conversations with national and local leaders working to strengthen a fractured America. Chronicle editors and writers will host individuals from across the country in casual lunchtime discussions about what it will take to bring Americans together. Guests will talk about ideas and promising solutions and how the philanthropic world - from major philanthropists to everyday nonprofit leaders - can contribute.
