Dan, what color tap do you recommend for the courtesy led light under your side door? The rear door doesn’t have a courtesy light so I am thinking putting an led on the side step bar. I need to know which wire to tap on the front foot well of the Highlander. Pls advise. Thanks
@@rikimarutenchu6485 are you asking what color are the wires going to the courtesy light on the front so you can access them under the dash and route them to the rear door area?
@@DansWay yes. Because I tried tapping to the front door courtesy light and it will work when I open the front door but the rear door, no lights. So, I am thinking the wiring on the foot well on both front sides of the Highlander has to have a na in wire for dome light. I ordered the wire/circuit tester but I am having a difficulty finding the correct wires.
@@rikimarutenchu6485 so you want to get to the done light control. Good plan! I unfortunately have no idea where those lights originate from. They are controlled by the car computer directly, not by a simple door switch. That allows the car to turn them on and off after a certain time even if you leave the door open all day.
You are absolutely right about that. I need a way to drop the brightness to keep it on full time, otherwise it would be a huge distraction while charging.
Hi I’m curious for the link of those blue clips for cables to be joined together. Seems better than splicing. And yes I checked that website cool mod options for the highlander.
I don't know for sure. Worst case you could provide a drawing of yours to confirm. I have a friend that has either a 2021 or 2022, I'll look at it on Sunday.
Without a door light it will be very difficult. The newer highlanders use the computer to control the lighting. You could tsp into the power going to the window for trim, but it might not switch off with the key. Definitely investigate before buying.
I've done a few of your mods so far. Nice videos
Awesome! Thanks for watching. Which was your favorite? I have a remote-start video coming...

Is there one for the New generation Highlander
Yes. Search AliExpress
But it lights up only after you open the door.... passengers won't find that to useful...but it looks good I guess.
