    Actually, guys, the "retro shopping music" was La Marseillese, the national anthem of France. ☺ I guess it was a nod towards the French's habit to chop off people's heads during thr revolution, which is what Prokrustes did in the book.

    I’m hoping the fight with Ares is going to be much longer than the other fights, and maybe they were giving themselves space for later, because Percy is still very young and he’s going to grow into one of the best fighters in the whole franchise. If the fights start out super complex and epic there’s nowhere for them to go from there. Th final book is a multi day series of battles almost nonstop. They’ll get to the big fight scenes when it’s worth the screentime.

      I hope so too but when I think of all the things they'll have to fit into the episode (the fight, returning the bolt, percy talking to his dad, Gabe, his mom. returning to camp, Annabeth and her Dad conversation, the manhunt for Percy ending and dealing with the thief) I'm really wondering how they're going to fit it all in one episode

      Yeah, Last Olympian will be very big and grandiose. They had to film a full war going on, with alot of CGI monsters. It's like endgame, but with greek mythology stuff. Lol. Can't wait for them to adapt it.

    The reason Poseidon can’t be with or see Percy is due to the pact he made with Zeus and Hades. Their children were largely responsible for WW2, and after the devastation they caused the world they realized their children were too powerful.
    If Poseidon had spent time with Percy, the other gods would have found out and it probably would have started a war right there and Zeus at the very least would have tried to kill Percy

    • @matchababy8485

      Isn't the WW2 plot a reveal of the third season/book? Would be fine if you just left it out, unless that can be a spoiler of some sort. For how they showed it in this season, I'd go with Poseidon respecting Sally's request and their pact.

    I loved your thoughts at the end there!! I adore the character and relationship development in the show. On the surface, this is a story about gods, demigods, and monsters - but deep down it's a story about the complexities of *family.* I'm so glad you are connecting with that 💛
    I love Sally. She was truly going through it in this episode. The actor is incredible!!

    Thank you!!! While I agree with some of the critisism of the show (pacing, Episode lenght, Tension) , I really wouldn't like a super action-Percy-Jackson-Show. I feel like people want everything to be GOT this day, why can't a adventure-show just be that: a adventure-show for kids. And I think it really beautifully shows the kids emotions/journey and the value of friendship and has the books heart in it. (I'm seeing many people upset that it isn't a 1:1 book-adaption and I think a adaptation that feels like the books makes so much more sense).

    • @pinsandneedles3
      @pinsandneedles3 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      I fully agree. A lot of the magic of Percy Jackson is honestly in the creative/weird/silly ways the characters deal with the trouble they get into. Sometimes the solution is a red ball, not a grand battle with Cerberus

      Tbh producers thinking they have to listen to the audience and have action packed episodes everyday in detriment to the plot and flow of the story is what made GOT tank in the first place, first seasons were the best and also way more chill than the following ones

      GOT was boring in the first 2 seasons, with battles happening off screen, because of budget reasons. When it exploded we got them on screen.

    The sand represents a time turner. Kronos/Saturn/Grim Reaper/Father Time is in pieces to represent the division of time in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years. The fact Percy has already run out of time because of the passing of the solstice points to the fact that Kronos has already won, even if only in some small way.

  • @smoothkirito
    @smoothkirito 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

    They had to show Ares on the beach in every trailer to show that the biggest omission screw up of the movie was not being repeated. Percy's fight against Ares is one of the biggest moments in the entire book series, as well as the climax of book one, and the movie deleted it. It's sort of the defining moment of the movie being a terrible adaptation, not to mention failing to mention Kronos even once.

    you are spot on with saying that the action has been supplemented with character development! one of the reasons the percy jackson books is so loved is because of the characters and specifically the relationship within annabeth, percy, and grover. yes, the show goes through certain scenes fairly quickly, especially when compared to the "action" parts of the book however, i think they're really focusing on building these characters up for first time watchers. i'm sure they'll be able to add onto this as the show develops and the seasons take on more serious source material.

    Awesome video ‼️💯 your PJO reaction videos are amazing and definitely a favourite of mine. I am following along with the books and I have theory that these books and now the series main theme is friendships as well as understanding that if one has adhd it doesn’t mean that one is limited. Also living with adhd makes making and keeping friends super difficult. Also Percy’s fatal flaw is excessive loyalty which is why he keeps sacrificing himself. Annabeth’s fatal flaw is hubris. Imho fatal flaws are supposed to represent specific adhd traits. Also I love Hades and all the gods in the series they are all amazing 💯‼️ also Hades’ palace in the underworld is modelled after the opposite of Olympus because he is considered to be the black sheep of the gods.
