@@20SidedKnight Long story short, D&D has devils, demons and daemons - or baatezu, tanar'ri and yugoloths, to go with AD&D 2, Satanic Panic names for them. Understandably, "yugoloth" stuck onwards. Pathfinder, both in 3e 3pp days and in 1e, had access to some of the yugoloths present in D&D 3e but not the name, thus they became just daemons. Pathfinder since then has taken them in a pretty divergent direction from their prototype.

In pathfinder/starfinder demons and daemons are separate entities and they hate each other
