Just to answer A VERY COMMON QUESTION. Is the medicine course in UKM in malay or English?
It is fully in english! The syllabus are in English, teaching in English, written exams in English. Just for OSCE (if there's a role play session), you may need to speak malay. But my fellow Malaysians who are aspiring doctors, if you were to work in Malaysia, you will need to master bahasa melayu. And Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia gives a very good environment for that as they encourage us to speak bahasa Malaysia, my BM improved a lot here and I am grateful for that lah. I figured that communication is key to becoming a good doctor whom your patients can trust and bond with. If I have a malay patient, I hope that I would be able to speak his/her mother language fluently and make him/her feel comfortable to tell me their problems. I think common language plays a great factor in doctor-patient relationship❤️
My SPM result
Mathematics A+
Biology A
Physics A-
Chemistry B+
Additional Mathematics B
Do you think it's good enough
for me to pursue in medical field? I'm not sure if I can compete with those who get straight A in the subjects... 😔
@@dragonemperorryuga5447 u met the entry requirements so yes its good enough in a way. But you're right, u are competing with straight A students so it depends in which uni u are applying to, whether it's competitive or not.
Hi..im just curious..if i taking matriculation do i still get high chances to study medic in public uni..i only got B for phy, chem, bio
:(
Great content as usual 🤙🤙
💗💩💗
hi, if my CGPA is 3.8 above but I retake my spm for bio,phy and maths.. they will accept it or not? b'cuz in spm, I didn't score well in that subject :
Superbb nice info for all juniors ❤️❤️❤️
Hehe❤️❤️❤️
Hey , may i know more about the introductory video that you did for ukm interview ? Like what did you do and say ?
Thanks for info medical in school...its very good...salamkenal... Great sharing
No problem, thank you for the compliment😊
Hii Miss Qi thanks for the info on the medical school matters..i just wondering about the yuran/fes..Do you mean that the fee is rm10k per year omly or rn10k for the whole duration of 5 years (rm2k per year)..or maybe for those who has a scholarship the fee will be higher say like rn60k compare to those who not getting any scholarship such as self funded
Yea RM10K-RM13K for the whole duration of 5 years, not related to any scholarships
Hi Qi Wei, would like to know how did you prepare for BMAT? Do you hav any collection of sample essay for section 3?
Thks alot.....realy help fr my daughter applaytion upu
glad to hear that☺ you're welcome and i wish her all the best!
Thanks Qi Wei ❤️
Most welcome❤️
Hi. I’ve finished my a levels but retaking now to improve my grades. Do you know if public unis accept retakes? And is it hard to get in with good a level results?
Hi, I don't know about the accepting retake part. From what I know, your A levels results has to be REALLY good in order to get in via UPU.
@@QiWeiLim thank you!
Great one!
How about Malaysians taken IGCSE, results 7A, that includes Bio, Chemi, Physics, Maths, English and another one more subjects..
Not SPM malay but foreign language malay..
Can they do foundation in UKM?
Hi, I'm not sure about this, but you can check the ukm website or ask the official channel. However if I'm not mistaken, since foundation in UKM is under the government, you should be required to take SPM in order to apply
Hi there! I’m an international student and took A-Levels, can I still apply for UKM? + are there a lot of international students there, cos I heard int. students entrance are strict n difficult.
Yes! UKM does take in international students. You can get more info fr the official website
Can a Malaysian with International School IGCSE followed by A-Level seek to study MBBS in public universities like UM UKM UPM vide direct entry (ie paying International Students fees)? Thanks
I've been wondering this too, after just finishing my Alevels and having IGCSE in high school, was your question answered?
I search MUFY entry requirement is 5C but will the minimum requirement change to 5B if you want to become doctor next time and study for med for SPM I mean
The requirements to get in mufy is only 5C which is easy to get in. But to get into Monash's doctor of medicine through mufy(in Malaysia) you must score at least 85% out of the 4 subjects you take in mufy. Of which English subject will be compulsory, and 2 sciences subjects and one type of math.
MUFY is also accepted by most medical unis in Malaysia. Their requirements to get in are also at least an average of 80% and above. Having studied mufy myself I'd say it's really fun. You get to do presentations, work with due dates, build socialising skills and the exam syllabus isnt really that hard.
Just a quick advice, if you want to go for the next mufy intake go for January intake. Sunway people are shitty I took March intake in 2022 and back then they lied and said that March intake was same as January in reality March is slightly more intensive than January.
huh seriously around 10k only ??????? OMG I THOUGHT THE FEES WOULD BE AROUND 300K IN PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES
Yesss serious HAHAHA ur parents are gonna love you🤣🤣🤣
I mean it would be ard 300K if you apply through the direct channel (private channel). But if you got it through UPU, then yes, 10-15K only
Perks of gov taxes brudda 🤣
Is there any case where they put UM as a second choice and other uni as first choice and they get UM?
From what I know, they will get the interview offer but won't end up getting into UM successfully.
hi sis may i ask .. are the questions usually being asked in malay or english? gonna have the interview soon🥹
Depends on which uni. If UKM and USM, from my experience, u will need to converse in malay partially
omg i did apply for upm medic and put it in 4th choice but i still got the iv! 🥺
Yeah the pattern varies every year
If I study in matriculation, can I apply to study overseas after that👀?
Matriculation is a government local programme. It is not fully recognized overseas like STPM and A levels. However, I know that there are SOME overseas uni that recognize matrics la but u will hv to check. For medic, I don't think got la
Hi,if my CGPA get the high score and get the muet band 4, but my spm English result only got D, then still can i enter the medicine science?
Spm requirement is 5B in science and maths. So in that case, English doesn't affect (if I'm not mistaken)
@@QiWeiLim ok, tqvrm
USM has their own hospital too hehe!
Ohh that's great! I wasn't sure so I didn't say hahah, thanks for letting me know✨
04's spm 2021 here, straight A (11A(7A+)) can't get the 1st batch matriculation college , even upu there also got nothing 😞 it has discouraged me
Update, rayu also fail, depressed n demotivated…
Straight A still couldn’t get into Matriculation? Huh what were they thinking. May I know what are you doing rn? Are you studying pre u or diploma ?
So direct channel is like rasuah is it?
No, it's a proper application channel. You still have to go through interview and its competitive. Its like a second chance
Maybe first?
Yeap! Haha
So difficult to listen to your English
Sorry about that🙏 It was a video I wanted to upload ASAP during that time to help my juniors near their application period hence it wasn't scripted or edited with any subtitles. Just wanted to provide useful info as much as possible. Is it because of my Malaysian accent that makes it hard to listen? Or did I speak too fast?
Would love to hear your feedback as I'm very open for improvement. Thank you! 🙆♀️
Hii I need some advices for the application, can you kindly share your insta Id?
