Was adenoidectomy and/or tonsillectomy recommended for her? What was the rationale of recommending PAP over surgery? Does PAP improve the airway shape over time?

@@HennySoSpiritual Mine seemed to start with anxiety/panic attacks too. Not sure which one started first but I'm thin and lived healthy, it makes no sense. Did you get better?

@@sirprize5191 One does not need to be overweight or old to have sleep apnoea or snoring. Both of these disorders can and do happen in people of all ages. I have heard of a theory from Dr John Mew and Dr Mike Mew (orthodontists) that some cases of sleep apnoea are 'structural' and 'postural', caused by:
      a) poor facial structure. The human face is not growing properly in the industrialised world, largely due to poor oral posture/mouth breathing and a lack of breastfeeding and hard foods for infants, leading to crooked teeth and the jaws being set back, narrowing the airway. This 'recessed' facial structure can be worsened by the extraction and bracing of teeth by conventional orthodontists.
      b) low tongue posture during sleep. The tongue should be kept sucked onto the ceiling of the mouth. That should be its normal posture. If not, it can fall back into the airway during sleep. Low tongue posture will also cause the dental arches and jaws to develop improperly.
Please subscribe to the Mews' channel, 'Orthotropics' and the channel 'JawHacks', run by Ronald Eade, who believes that sleep apnoea is massively under-diagnosed, and who knows a lot about expansion appliances that can make space for the teeth and advance the jaws, unlike traditional orthodontics.

Wow no details on AHA. Comes off like an infomercial. There was no discussion on possible treatments or scientific method. Maybe there are funding issues. Also it doesn't mention anything about side affects or risks to health. Should probably be a legal disclaimer.

It's a high level case study and it's promotional. It doesn't need to be anything else -- there are plenty of other resources out there for scientific method.

This is only if the apnea is left UNtreated. If you're treating it (through CPAP or dental device etc) then you're golden!

I lately discovered this anti snoring solution MySnoringCure.blogspot.fr
and am performing the exercises fairly regularly. I am truly pleased that my boyfriend appears to like the good results of utilizing the treatment. I really have agood sleep daily now. The neck and jaw exercises have been advantageous too in alleviating anxiety. .
