- 岐阜県飛騨地方の白川郷を散策いたしました。紅葉には少し早いですが、アニメもリメイクされているということで絶好のタイミングだったと思います。
【Shirakawa-go】
The Ogimachi district of Shirakawa-go is known for its gassho-style villages. A village with a unique landscape was highly evaluated and was selected as important preservation district of historic buildings in 1976. In 1995, along with Gokayama (Ainokura district, Suganuma district), it was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (cultural heritage) .
The Ogimachi district of Shirakawa-go is valuable because it is still used as a place for real life, which is different from the gassho private house villages in other areas.

白川郷は 私が 結婚前に 家族3人で 訪れた場所です 私は もうすぐ 70歳になります 私にとって 忘れない記憶 です
日本の世界遺産の中でもあまりにも有名で何度もテレビなんかで映像は見るけど、散策という形でこんなにも詳細で細部まで映した映像を見るのは初めてです。それにテレビとは違い観光向けの良い所ばかりを切り取った映像ではなく、ありのままにすべてを見せてくれるAnnaさんの映像はあたかもそこを自身が散策しているかのようなリアル感があります。

I was here in march just before the pandemic hit and it was snowy and really busy :)
Almost all videos like this are filmed early in the morning (5am or so) so the filming wont disturb the villagers out of courtesy.
6 minutes into the video and I'm literally about to cry... it's so beautiful and calm... I miss Japan

Yes, it's possible.... I recommend you go to test it out. I lived there one year, and feel more "at home" there than anyplace on earth; the images are hauntingly familiar and feel like home.
I have been there, on a snowy day.....one of the surreal places I have ever been, and I have travel extensively last 6 years......

@@sana9709 I would guess a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro because this video is in 5K 50fps. Not many other hand-holdable cameras do 6/5K at 50fps.

What I would not give to walk those paths, speak with the townsfolk and become one with a place the phrase "heaven is a place on Earth" does not begin to do justice to.
Still waiting for the days to come when we are freely to travel and do not need to worry about anything, really miss Japan very much

@@grogukillstreak5056 I believe so yeah. Before covid I remember seeing that place get a fair bit of traction due to tourists. The population itself is a bit over 1k but there is a popular anime set in Shirakawa-go and that anime has been out for quite a bit. So due to that and Shirakawa itself looking beautiful I'd guess they probably enjoy seeing people appreciate their town

The rest of the video is excellent as well. A perfect trip into the countryside. I now see a bit of what Kerr was talking about in your display of the Wada House interior.

Oh....how I have missed these moments... OK, minutes of beauty and serenity these past few weeks while I was traveling from west to east coast here in the U.S.
These last two videos, very much alike, yet very different. Both in the high mountains, where yes.....seeing this in a blanket of snow would be fantastic. But be safe in your travels back, snow and ice can be beautiful, but hard to travel in.
Love the different "houses" which appear to be historical museums of what was. Just fascinating.. You have once again treated your viewers to the wonders and beauty of this marvelous country. Regardless of the seasons, the beauty will always be there.

I visited Shirakawago last late autumn and it was so beautiful. The red leaves meet with snow covered mountains. I felt so peaceful. Hope to be able to return to this pretty village in the future 🤍

It’s lovely, but when I was there it was quite busy with bus loads of tourists. It’s wonderful to see it without the crowds

Konichiwa from Ireland....it's a cold, rainy night and here i am cycling an exercise bike while taking a virtual tour of a beautiful village in rural Japan....a country that is visually stunning and filled with wonderful people. I have great memories of my past trips and cannot wait to be able to go back when all the restrictions caused by covid are over. My grandfather studied in Tokyo @ earlier 60's for 5 years. He told me many good things about the Japanese culture and the discipline they live with. I wish before i die i visit Japan.

If I ever won the lottery I woudn't splash my cash on an expensive and luxurious lifestyle but instead move to a place like this and live out the rest of my days in peace, city life is just killing me slowly right now.
made an unforgettable visit there in March 2014 ... thank you for posting this ... my god-mother's husband was born in one these houses, which is now an amazing fish-restaurant ...
