    Great interview by Rick Rule as always I would say. But the questions were also really smart compared to other more general TH-cam channels. Next time could you ask Rick what the minimum amount for private placements would be, please? And coming from a portfolio of publicly traded gold miners how would the transition to private placements look like? I mean how can I evaluate whether the “private hogs” (mathematically) are more promising than the “public hogs” I already own?

    Great video! I really do have a quick question. For someone with less than $10,000 to invest, How would you recommend we enter the market? I am looking study some traders and copy their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally. Whats your take on this approach?

    • @allenhubbard4961
      @allenhubbard4961 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried copy trading, just when I started investing last Christmas. Had a poor experience, the guy I copied made many small trades, slowly loosing money. What good came out of it was that it gave me an insight into how the market really works. Make sure you do your homework!

      Find a sector you like and try to find every reason not to own a company. When you can't do it, then you've got a good one. Lots of research and 5-10% maximum for any company.
      i suggest reading SEC filings and learning to understand drill results.

      Depends on how much risk you want to take on. More solid - something like First Majestic. Higher risk something like Scottie Resources. Also, how patient you are to tough out the dips and hang on for the big pay days.

    Rick pontificating from his ivory tower in the epicenter of junior information about doubling down in an almost impossible to value loss making sector... outright telling the audience that junior mining companies are shocking investments... except for the few... the few.... while sprinkling a little hope here and a need for precious metals there is an absolute masterclass... and exactly the self flagellation I tune in for. Sending in my stocks for extra giggles.

    "I have a ready answer for it and many of your listeners are going to absolutely hate me as a consequence of my response. At the end of the day, I would add up every transactional ticket in the firm buys and sells and any time that buys overwhelm cells by three to one I would sell I'd find something to sell the next day anytime cells overwhelmed buys three to one I'd find something to buy the next day I was in a rather unique position I guess because I could tabulate simply the number of tickets uh and what was a buy and what was a sell and the tickets wouldn't determine what I bought and sold I had a list of stocks that I was holding and nervous about and so I would of course pick my cell candidates from that and I had a list of things that I would like to own and I would pick my buy tickets from that but I certainly did let customer sentiment determine what I did I believe and i've stated on your show on numerous occasions that in cyclical businesses uh and in volatile businesses gold and silver certainly qualify for that that you are a contrarian or you're going to be a victim"

    Not referring to RR specifcally when I say this, but just about EVERY interviewer in 2020 and early 2021 said 2021 would be THE year for G&S. All were totally wrong. Then I looked at some of their 'suggested' buys and saw how poorly they operated or performed. Made me realise a lot of these guys just talk well. They make their money from subscriptions churn (the result of blah blab) not any great knowledge.

    These guys need remember that not everyone has endless cash to leave in dead stocks for about 10 years. Hence they wait for momentum to build before investing - and accordingly miss the bottom or even near bottom. Also, they simply don't have the (insider ???) knowledge to buy these coys when the coys are still inactive minnows - management and those close to management 10; retail investors 0.
