I do not have access to a welder so I purchased an Easy Step out of Tyler,Texas ... Delivered in 24 hours !!! Thanks for the video ... wish I had seen it a couple years ago
This is perfect timing I just bought a “new” to me boat yesterday and was thinking about a set of steps to get in. I just hope mine comes out that good he does nice work
Your friend does nice quality work. I like his step designs. Perfect for a boater single handed launching and retrieving when no dock is present at a launch ramp.
Really nice set of steps there. They're a great idea. While we haven't fitted steps , we did fit steel mesh to the floor of the trailer so we can walk out on it in the water. It puts a barrier between us and saltwater crocs. Cheers and hope you had a great Easter up there !
He done a good job on them! I'm an old school welder, arc welder and cutting torch guy, then side grinder. wish I had a plasma cutter and wire welder. Good video
@@FishinNStuff No thank you. I have made one of the fishing pole holders and am currently working on an underwater light. I really appreciate these diy videos as they are keeping me sane. Keep 'em coming.
That's an awesome idea!!! Build one for each side and you have a landing guide when pull up on the trailer!!! Plus, by having one on each side, it allows you to get off or onto the boat from either side!! Stay safe, my friend... This "Coronie" mess will be over before you know it!!!😂
Good stuff. Price is cheaper than an ER visit if ya slip getting in at the ramp. Also for some reason video stopped missing s way on my end. Got the “Something went wrong message”
Happy Easter and Stay safe and healthy buddy! That is perfect timing! My new boat and trailer are going to be so happy with these new steps! Bad thing is we can't even take her out to break in the motors on her yet. TA DAY we hunker down so TA MORROW we can fish!
I have to do this for a friend but I'm nervous, I just finished welding school and want to do it good. This would be my very first job. He said he just wants something simple, again I'm new to this all but I want to do a good job. His boat is a little bigger too. It doesn't have to be like multiple steps he said, just like 1 where he can pop up easier.
It looks like the tongue swung starboard, if it were mine I might have made it for port. Maybe there was a reason. This was awesome, I've never seen this but now I need it lol. I appreciate you. Thank you for sharing your skills knowledge and experience
@@FishinNStuff yes I would think that is difficult, i figured there was a reason. Anyway this is cool I'm going to make one for my pontoon trailer, i have another design in mind but this inspired me. Thanks again and have a blessed day.

Help. I need you to do a DIY video for us please. I have a kayak and want some rod holders (like Scotty) to screw down. I am not talking about the pvc rod holders that people have made for transporting rods. rather I mean the rod holders that u put rod in when u are actually fishing. I have looked on TH-cam and there are no videos showing how to make these. I just bought a fishing kayak and it has pre drilled holes made for store bought devises. But they are expensive and don’t line up anyway. Thanks so much. I love your videos.
www.cabelas.com/product/SCOTTY-SIDE-MOUNT-ROD-MASTER-II/3087750.uts Doesn’t have to be this one. Just one of holders you screw down down onto top of kayak. The base will stay screwed down permanently, but the rod holder can detach. It would nice if u could adjust it some for different angles etc.
Nice steps how much would the finished item weigh say 4 to 5 steps as Australian boats different to your bass boats I have a Tabbs tinny { aluminium} 4.6m ill try and attach a pic.
I would guess around 40 to 45 lbs maybe I have some now . They are a little heavy but they are super strong . You could sacrifice strength and make em a little lighter

what a joy watching a real craftsman at work...awesome!!!

You can make em from a 200 dollars worth of Harbor Freight tools if you had any fabrication skill
I tried building me some awhile back. Them 20 penny nails i used made a mess outta my boat didn't think about putting them on the trailer. Awesome.
Now you know how too do it , thank you for watching buddy
Bet you used a claw hammer to pound em on the boat?....WRONG, pound em in with a ball peen hammer. no worries.
Middle of the pandemic and not a hair out of place. Another cool video!!
Lol well that's cause I cut my own hair too haha . Stay safe and Happy Easter brother
