This scene is still the best scene ever in the entire show. It was so powerful and honestly I'm still so sad that it ended. This was a good time for Disney
So that end scene, I wish that dynamic stayed. A trio of friends rather than a love triangle that ended up as, to quote Kajortoq from No Evil, “a love-line segment with one very ambitious point”. Tom and Star breaking up and Marco and her getting together just felt so… off. They literally severed the Blood Moon connection. I ultimately don’t like Starco, Platonic Tomco rocks, and I think it would have been cool for Star to end up single and adopt.
Also the fact that Marco is mentally in his 20s makes it feel really weird. They brought that up multiple times since it happened, so it's not like they forgot about it.
THANK YOU!! I was always worried that I was the only one who was really bugged by the fact that they got back together. Like yeah, it made sense the first time when they realised their feelings for each other. Cause you know, Star and Marco both were hopeless romantics, but the second time just felt weird. And it felt out of character for the both of them cause of the development they had. Marco went from being a worrywart who happened to be Star's human best friend to a guy who changed the meaning of what it means to be a knight and a human in a world full of magic. And Star went from a goofy teen girl who was clingy and could use magic to an independent queen who changed the narrative of Mewni. Basically they both went from being clingy and desperate for a relationship to being independent and happy with themselves. It is frustrating watching the show gradually get better, only to cleave itself apart just when it was becoming whole.
Eclipsa is the one created a dakr magic and that makes her the only grand master of dark spells because all of the other butterfly family are light they don't use dark magic. What star did was a light magic that blast actually.

It is frustrating watching the show gradually get better, only to cleave itself apart just when it was becoming whole.
This moment was messed up for me
The hardest choices require the strongest will.
Eclipsa is really powerful and only dark magic can harm a monster that is rank "S" or "Rank "A" we could say eclipsa is a grand master of dark spell
Though, the dark spells are extremely powerful. It could also cause risk to one's self.
Eclipsa is the one created a dakr magic and that makes her the only grand master of dark spells because all of the other butterfly family are light they don't use dark magic. What star did was a light magic that blast actually.
Skylet Jason Dean well Star did use a dark spell before
Moon did too.
But its only one dark spell but ecplisa has all the dark spell she created.
I like that the fart when they get their souls back.
Eclipsa did it like she did everything: beautifully, elegantly, and with style!
Is nobody gonna talk about the fact that she was forced to kill her own child? Like even if there as bad as Meteora she’s still her daughter
She didn't die, she was turned into a baby
She saved all the Mewmans, including the bastards that froze her, and they kept treating her like garbage.
Eclipsea is my all time favorite character! 💜💜💜 she is a strong amazing woman, who just because she walked her own path, didn't fit the mold she was pushed aside and imprisoned. Her husband imprisoned just for being himself. Her daughter hidden away, and raised but a robot!
This was one of my favorite scenes if not my favorite. Eclipsa was my favorite and is a total badass. This proves it.
Fall into the deepest depths of darkness Meteora, let the shadows consume and purify you
Tom thanks for making it weird😅
One of the coolest spells ever
The more and more you look at this it’s so poetic and heartbreaking she has had everything taken away from her and was wrong sometimes but she chose to protect Star over her daughter knowing what she was going to lose and how much it would hurt her and save the people who casted her out because of who she loved eclispa will forever be the queen of mewnei and moon she’s dead to me
Love how TH-cam recommended me this. I totally forgot about Star. Love this show
Damn it the rest of the show couldn’t be as good as this
0:30 ooh talk about showing "tough love" 😳
The designs and sounds of Eclipsa’s spells are so good and satisfying
I'm starting to think that Eclipsa didn't deserve the persacution she got.
She really didn’t. People hated her bc of her love for monsters & the fact that she uses dark magic.
@combatmedic3318 So what? They just DECIDED she should be trapped in a GIANT F**KING BLOCK OF ICE?!?!😡😠 What is this?! A cartoon, or real-life SALEM?!?!😡😠👿👹

Dang how I love the effect on Eclipsa's spells
This scene is underrated as a character development sequence. 😭 Her tears as she picks a path that's right for others but not herself. 😢 A true queen.
If I could go back and a watch a show for the first time I would choose this one.
Eclipsa was such an iconic character
The moment Eclipsa hold the wand.... We knew she is a ROYAL BLOOD people a TRUE QUEEN OF MWENI...
Even after all these years it’s still such a beautifully tragic scene. Gets you all swelled up inside
I just remembered how at 9 or 10 years old I played this scene like 9 thousand times because I loved it. Hehehhehehehe
the level of power and sorrow from eclipsa towards her daughter I had goosebumps the fight time I seem this and I teared up when I fought she killed her daughter and was relieved she didn't. and may I say her spells have so much more impressive levels to them yet simple and elegant despite of thier destructive levels
Meteora was right, the kingdom WAS stolen from them, tho her motives to take it back wasn't right. Star returning the wand was the right decision to correct the MHC's bias decision
OMG that part it so cool
Eclipsa is so beautiful

I cried. So many times.
Eclipsa is a queen. Literally and figuratively 😍💅
I may not like the finale but THE SOUNDTRACK GOES SO HARDDDDDD 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❗️❗️❗️
0:07 anatawa hitori janai,Star.
Sometimes you get to punishment regardless of how old they are
0:50 enough!
Wow eclipsa's amazing
Tom: aww I'm just gonna make this weird
Star: TOM!
This is why love eclipsa doing something like destroying your own child is hard to for any loving parent
1:44 he literally lend on his _e g g s_
Imagine watching this for the first time over again!!!
Yk I blame moon and the high magic committee for how meteora turned out
Mhc yes. Moon no.
it upsets me there isnt gonna be anymore seasons i use to watch this when i was in middle school every morning before school even after school, j use to always have to record it to dvr too lol
I like this scene because aside from all the justice it does to Eclipsa, it also represents the brutality of "tough love" in parenting.
I realized that the Black Velvet Inferno spell is like a age-reverse spell, eclipsa actually reversed meteora’s growth and age that turns her back into a baby
No, it was a spell to kill, Meteora only survived cause of Star's magic
@@mikhailthegreatestdragon3627 but star didn't do anything, an i forgeting simething?
@@hissss3628
Not directly, she didn't, but it's kind of implied that Meteora absorbed a good deal of Star's power during their final confrontation from that explosion.
Star's magic is directly tied to the reborn magic dimension, so one could argue that her magic has inherently restorative properties to them that could've saved Meteora.
Friggin Tom lmao “I’m just gonna make this weird” hahaha 🤣
Not her daughters sreaming for her mom😭😭😭😭😭😭
Eclipsa always made me emotional especially when her husband and her were reunited together long at last that made me cry so much and I was YOUNG!💜
Eclipsa just pull the killing chancla
She is more powerful than anyone else she doesn’t need any other form or looks to become stronger
0:44 it was the high commission that did it not star.
One of the best shows ever made.
Eclipsa was always so nice and all and I waited for the Twist because everyone said she's extremely evil but there was no twist.
And it was a good thing too, I know some people would’ve loved it if she turned out to be evil but imo she was just so nice and helpful and likable that it would’ve been disappointing instead of cool (not disappointing in a good plot twist type way but like ACTUALLY in-real-life disappointing)
I miss this
