Guitar ensembles over three or four rarely work.

Dear FretsUK, just a a short note: You are absolutely right with your comment, I agree for 100%. But after a while the always same comment becomes a bit boring. To be hounest, I really didn't want to asnwer, but I guess I should: The reason to make music together, whether as a guitar duo or as a guitar orchestra, often goes far beyond what you rightly repeatedly bring up as an argument here. Music connects, sometimes it is absolutely irrelevant what profound intention is behind it. So many young people who play the guitar as a hobby come together to make music, who otherwise would never continue to play this instrument. And this happens all over the world, in Europe as well as in Brazil or in Japan or anywhere else on this planet.
And here we have something very special: there are so many great soloists and international competition players in this ensemble here. For all of us, these performances were about something completely different from what you are arguing here. None of them normally plays in a guitar orchestra, and yet: everyone had fun, yes, including the audience.
Again, you're 100% right in your criticism, but it's sometimes not that important to be right. Of course, you are perfectly free to continue hating guitar orchestras, but maybe try to understand other aspects. That would be wonderful.
