Steamrail Victoria's Eureka Express Tour to Ballarat with R711 | 2024 Steamrail Victoria

On the 19th of May 2024, tour agency Steamrail Victoria ran their oil-burning locomotive R711 to Ballarat and returned for the Eureka Express. This was the second Eureka Express that ran in 2024 and surprised all locals with an awesome steam locomotive. Although the weather wasn't great, it didn't damper the excitement of railway enthusiasts.

Nice one Jamie, the cinematography was beautiful especially when the big blue R cross the Moorabool viaduct with a rainbow visible in the background. I also enjoyed listen to the locomotive working hard up Warrenheip Bank on the climb out from Ballarat. It reminded me of some old archive films of the Victorian railways I witnessed when I was young.

Great Video, how do you get your audio so good? my camera/microphone distorts the louder audio even the crossing bells or cars passing.
