You're back!! The angels sing! Trumpets flair! White doves burst forth into the air! Hahaha. I miss you Mike. You are one of the best most honest TH-camrs on here. So candid and and you just give it your all. No matter how many 'experts' weigh in with negativity. You press on. Upbeat and happy. Like you are actually talking to each one of us individually, but that's what a career in news media does. Awesome job Mike.
Nice work Mike, the stretch in that old belt might have taken the timing off a little and blunted the performance so with a new belt in place that pedal should feel crisper. Boy she sounds sweet, can't wait to see her on the road. ....Nice looking family btw! 😍👍
Great job 👏 👍 Michael ,( Don't Forget Mark your mileage))), I'm a retired mechanic from Canada, and I would have trouble with that job 😀 I love the way you show everything, again Great job 👍 Mike.
Great video Mike. One thing I would do while you're at it, is adjust the valves. If you remove the valve cover, make sure you replace the valve gasket. Otherwise your spark plugs will get a nice oil bath.
Great video sir. You make it look easy. How did that thermostat get in that shape all by itself I wonder? It is good to know that someone likes older BMW. It makes me want to tackle mine.
Nice Thanksgiving-crowd and nice cliffhanger with the big changes, as well. For me and Cato it's totally clear that you intend to start with the Red Pig project, so congrats therefore and for the nicely running Beemer engine, too 😁😁
@@MonkeyWrenchMike someone must have been jumping power to it to make it come on . It probably has a bad pressure switch causing it not to work . Sooooo they jumped it out to the battery to make it work .
Great video Mike! ✌️😎 You should also change the upper timing pulley because they tend to snap (the new ones have an updated & better design). Sreten from M539 Restorations covered that in his videos regarding his E30 😊
Did you ever find the other half of the thermostat??? I'd be concerned that it's hiding inside the cooling passages of the engine 🤔 Any restrictions of the coolant could cause all kinds of problems down the road
I was just about to ask him that. They don't just dissolve and dissappear. Unless the previous owner actually took it apart and left the remainder in there so the seal would be held in place.
Congrats on 20,000 subs! When you were listing all it took to change the timing belt, you forgot to mention how many busted knuckles! What happened to Janice? Update on how the ducks are doing? (YOUR ducks, not the Hockey team!)
Awesome video. I'm about to tackle the timing belt job on my 1987 325i vert this month. I'm definitely stressing out about the crank bolt and the possibility (as per the Bentley manual) that I might have to remove it to make enough clearance for the belt to come off and new one go on. Did you have to remove the crank bolt on your 87? Thanks soo much. Cheers.
I had a question or two if anyone could answer I have a 92 325i I've heard multiple answers none really solid is it a timing belt or chain and would I be able to go off this video to reset my timing?
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but when you first started the engine a couple videos ago, it sounded like it had a knocking rod for the first couple seconds, and now I’m still hearing a TAP-TAP-TAP sound that seems like it’s coming from one cylinder.
Mike please be careful with Randy Idk if anyone remembers he started copart walk arounds and working in the cars with his brother and now they don’t speak
It's coming along nicely Mike nice to see Tom in the picture tell him we are all asking for him

Can't wait to see this old beauty back on the road alongside Janice the 69 😊

Good Seeing You Back Pn The E30 Mike, Glad You & Yours Had A Great Holiday..
As always mike you show us that with a little bit of patients these older german cars can be great again.

Hey Mike the mystery wire is the wire that goes to the AC compressor to give it power
Yes! It was attached to the positive battery terminal!
@@MonkeyWrenchMike someone must have been jumping power to it to make it come on . It probably has a bad pressure switch causing it not to work . Sooooo they jumped it out to the battery to make it work .

Purrs like a kitten! 😁👍
Good progress! Is this still in line to be a money maker flip?
Please film you flushing coolant and transmission change
Hello mike. Just about made it first on ur video. Hope all is great for you
Cool
Love the video

I was just about to ask him that. They don't just dissolve and dissappear. Unless the previous owner actually took it apart and left the remainder in there so the seal would be held in place.
Looks like a previous owner did some surgery to increase the coolant flow.

You are too funny! Your vids are awesome!
You have a camera assistant... well done.ahhh maybe not,
You’re great!

I had a question or two if anyone could answer I have a 92 325i I've heard multiple answers none really solid is it a timing belt or chain and would I be able to go off this video to reset my timing?
Belt. And there are lots of good videos (including mine) on how to do it!
Is it me or the engine is a tad bit ticky. Great car
Come on Mike Where u Been....?🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙

Maybe I missed it, but where did you find the missing pieces of the thermostat?
My wife saw that picture and perked up with "I think there's a Filipina in that group"
I hope you not risk being democratized because of background radio
You also never Introduced the new cars you hid in your last couple videos
Videos in the works
So where is the Ducks
Change the brake fluid too !!!
Will do!
Can hardly hear the audio
my guess is lucky's gf laid some eggs😁
I have a confession to make. I put the 911th like on this video. Is this a sign for a 911 restoration soon, maybe?
Yes please!
Mike please be careful with Randy Idk if anyone remembers he started copart walk arounds and working in the cars with his brother and now they don’t speak
Randy is a great friend. I know the back story on that, and it’s nothing to be concerned about. Thanks for watching the videos!!
Monkey Wrench Mike, I believe you need to speak up. I can't hear you too well.
