Bought this album on the day it came out.
I loved it sooooo much that I used to take it to school. I couldnt be apart from it.
Love it today 50 years on just as much.
Steve is the greatest singer songwriter of all time,by a country mile.

"Please don't leave, don't leave Steve" my favorite rhyme ever!

I think this song perfectly exemplifies how much love and soul he has within him. To be able to turn a "sad" song into a festive one towards the end; he couldn't help himself lol.

I haven't listened to this song in decades. Hearing it now reminds me of his utter versatility. Vocally, he veers into his own musical playgrounds. He takes this cut to many places. Such a soulful cat. And yeah, back in the day, we did NOT want this LP to end.

And after pleading to no avail, he concludes "It Ain't No Use".

This is my favorite Stevie album front to back. Not a bad apple in the bunch

THis is a masterclass in vocal improvisation. The riffs that Stevie creates towards the end are just as strong as the melodies he wrote...the elasticity of his voice is just unreal.
A gorgeous ending to a gorgeous record

Sounds like mix of Golden lady with the drums, We can Work it out with his harmonica, Ave Maria with the BG choir, AND the middle part of Living just Enough for the City

Many times he layers his vocals. Great song, great reaction ❤️

This song is like Fireworks, DisneyWorld, the best gospel choir, Christmas all erupted at the same time. Begging never sounded so good.

It’s very difficult to asses any Stevie Wonder song with one listen. I remember the first time I heard it, it was the synthesizer bass that jumped out at me. It was revolutionary. You had to be there.

Yes, really Motown sounding. Kind of a throwback on this album.

Yes, it’s true. Stevie is moving from the country. He’s moving to Ghana, saying he can no longer tolerate the racism here. Please don’t go indeed but understandable.

He and Syreeta were breaking up. The whole album is about the situation between them.
