his fourth set was hendrix and he went off like i never seen ever, i looked around there were 7 other people in there including the bartender willie was always around in bars things were different, pantera, feddie king, thunderbirds, robert ealey, anson funderburgh, mark pollack and the midnighters, gatemouth brown, delbert, rocky athas, buddy whittington, rusty burns, bloodrock, nitzinger, bugz henderson, bw stevenson, shawn phillips, savvy, rusty weir, i got to know most of these people.... music was my thing
wow woody! yeah, music is our thing! Stevie loved jimi's music!!! i have tapes with 7 Jimi's songs on a single SRV set ( 1982) .... you named lot's of my favorite players...i'm collecting early Stevie's stuff since it's he was incredibly great, more the successive stardom music..wel....he was great in EVERY his moment,:-)...shame i'm here in italy and wasn't born in texas...but good music reached me anyway!.. check the other SRV tapes i put here on youtube! hope you like it ( PS i never earn a cent off it. and i dont want it!)
I was there with my Buddy Jonathan. We went there several time s to see SRV. Seniors in high school. Fake IDs. Hot as hell. Cold beer. Edge of stage in front. Mind blown.
I love stumbling on "new" SRV stuff like this. This is actually a really smoking version of Dirty Pool and had to be amazing to see live in that venue at that stage of Stevie's career. Thanks for posting.
Hi there is a LOT of unreleased Stevie ray stuff around, and from the early days too!.i prefer this 1978 1983 period bettre teh later " professional" era of Stevie...here is really smoking.. have fun to search for more new SRV...if you know whta's a "torrent" is...there is a LOT ...there! ciao!

i wanna say his last bar gig was there, but it might have been 83, i wasprobly at both, i watched him liveweekly from 74-83

yeah is true..will correct! back then, when we were trading tapes ( like this) was usual a bad re-name of songs....this is the case ! 🙂
