The Tickler's Band. 1967. Popular music from Sierra Leone.

The Tickler’s Band were one of Sierra Leone’s top orchestras in the 1960s and 1970s. They released two 45 rpm singles on the Leonaphone label, and featured musicians such as Gerald Pino and Benson Strasser-Williams.
This session of 10 songs was recorded in Conakry in 1967. Unfortunately I could not find any photo of the band.

ticklers brought many memories of great muscians artist in the 60s in sierra leone the band is a replica of the famous Geraldo Pino and the heart beats i do hereby solemnly pray that the almighty will give them a joyous journey they left unmeasured history in sierra leone bravo TICKLERS

My dad, Benson Strasser-Williams, commonly know as Bobby J, passed away in 2012. Good to hear his voice introducing the band he always talked about.
