Thank you DEARLY!!! Your hair is absolutely amazing. I have been a press n curl girl since childhood. In 2005, I went totally natural... no more heat. I considered locs, and in fact my stylist back in 2005 suggested locs, the regular ones, but I declined because I liked variety such as afro puffs, afro, getting Microbraids, then decided a silk press .... anywhooo believe this is me!!! No worries about rain, showers, mist, dew, staying up till 3am twisting my hair, no lugging around a bag of hair products out of town, on time for church ..lol😂 all of that and more.
Haha I feel you so much! There certainly are soooooo many benefits to getting Sisterlocks, and my biggest regret is having not gotten them sooner. Now I will say, it comes with its cons too so make sure you check out my playlist on Sisterlocks where I paint a pull picture on what getting them entails. But even with the downsides, I would still get them hundreds times over. And thanks so much for watching. Know that im always here to answer any questions you may ever have about locs! 🫶🏿
Your hair is beautiful!! I just started traditional locs I thought these where beautiful but I thought it was actually more work lol thanks for explaining
Awww thanks so much for sharing that! I'm glad the videos were useful. I hope that your installation goes well and that you love your loc journey just as much as I've loved mine! ❤️
Your hair is beautiful. I’m seriously considering getting Sister Locs. Can you give me a guesstimate on how much a starter loc could be and a re-loc every 6 weeks? Thank you
Hey sis, thsbks so much! And I've loved my Sisterlocks a lot and I nearly everyone who has them feels the same way! And the price of establishment can vary based on how long your hair is, the density/thickness of your hair, and whether the loctician is a consultant or trainee. I cover all the nuance in previous sisterlocks videos. But typically an establishment can begin at $850 and go uo depending on those factors. And a retightening can be between $100 and $200. I hope this helps+
That's a good question! My loctician said that there has to be at least a few inches of new growth that's not relaxed for an establishment. But during your consultation, the loctician will go over all of that with you!

All ten of those reasons can also apply to traditional locs.
I see what you mean!
Can they be started when your hair is relaxed?
