I don't listen to this song that often. Two or three times per year I'll remember it, and listen to it a few days. I've been doing this as long as I can think back. It's like there'a this "call" and I feel like I just need to listen to his voice singing this particular song. And it needs to be the live version from this concert, no oder performance will do.
That being said, the feelings I get from this song are still the same, and it's so freaking sad but also comforting. I love the lyrics too; I don't know whether he managed to find the perfect lyrics to the song or if he found the perfect music to the lyrics.
And then there's his voice, which is absolutely stunning and strong in this performance. The despair you can feel especially at the last verse is breathtaking. The last chorus always makes me tear up - even when I manage to hold my tears back until the last moment, I always tear up when he sings

these particular lines. There's so much raw emotion in his voice, especially here. I really don't get how such beautiful sounds can come out of a human. He manages to sing the song louder/harder, and then he sings it softly. Lower notes, high notes, long notes, short notes. He does it so well. I don't even want to get started on the piano.
Every time I listen to this song, it absolutely destroys me, yet I feel understood by it. I feel like this song reaches out to me and helps me with something - I don't know what - in my life, heart, soul. What a brilliant performance.

I heard a lot of hype about Gackt, and so I came to listen. I saw some of his earlier work with Malice Mizer and I wasn't too impressed. Until I came across this song. This song performance really blew me away. The clarity of his singing, the emotion he put into the song, his tone of voice is just incredible. I find his singing voice so clear and fascinating. He can really make the mood! I must have listened to this a could of dozen times over the last month, yet I still play it every so often.
