I heard a lot of hype about Gackt, and so I came to listen. I saw some of his earlier work with Malice Mizer and I wasn't too impressed. Until I came across this song. This song performance really blew me away. The clarity of his singing, the emotion he put into the song, his tone of voice is just incredible. I find his singing voice so clear and fascinating. He can really make the mood! I must have listened to this a could of dozen times over the last month, yet I still play it every so often.
"Mou ichido tsuyoku dakishimete" = I want to hold you once more. No wonder he was crying. They sound like lyrics from the bottom of his heart. I can't believe how amazing he sounds with just his voice and the piano. It sounds so much like the recorded version.
I think he really is tearing up. It happens several times during the song, and with the emotion and depth of the song and the look on his face, I don't think it could be anything else.

It's safe to say that while I love Gackt's songs and music, I cry often while I listen to them, even still... I can't help but listen to him often.
