My daughter promoted from elementary to middle school this year and she wanted one. So we made one ours cost about $5 but that made 2 one for her n one for her friend that was promoting as well.

awesome instructions!! we are making these for my daughters soccer team Senior Night. we used saran wrap press n seal to make the strips then rolled in colored Cellophane to help secure the candies, it went a little faster than tape.

Congrats to your son .. The memories he can tell to to his kids about his 2020 Graduation.. I have made so many of these for my kids and friends when they were younger. Now this year my youngest graduated College and NO ceremonies at the school. We had a fun celebration at home and the Leis get quite a lot more elaborate. 2020 a big year to remember.. TFS
I wanted to let you know I made my first candy lei for my granddaughter that graduated from 6th grade.
Your instructions were so perfect and easy to understand. BTW, she loved the lei. Also, the pre-colored ribbon I used was lavender which is her favorite. That made it so easy. I also bought red curling ribbon which is school color and filled in lots of open spaces around lei. Once again thank you!
Coo is doing okay lol okay thanks girl
Thank you!
👏🏻👏🏻
Wow this was nice!!! wonder how you can do one with money.
Cute
Tyfs 💛
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! Making one for my nephew who is gluten free so i did change up the candy, but thank you for this video🧡
Thank you
Congratulations to your graduate! Love the candy lei idea. Have you ever made a candy bouquet? I know they are very expensive to buy.
Yes! I posted a video on it here you go:

I have twin granddaughters and they want a summer Candyland Birthday Party eventhough their birthday is in February... these will be so fun for the kids to help make... my grandbabies are 9,4,4,3,3,&1 years old yes 2 sets of twins
We will not be using chocolate for the leis
10 kids 10 to 15 adults
My son’s elementary promotion is coming up soon & this is just what I was looking for, thank you!! .. if I may ask, how would you attach a stuffed animal to it?
You could use ribbon but if you use a zip tie make sure it's loose enough to be cut off.
Do you have a candy and money lei? My son graduates high school and I have made this before but would like to add money.
Thank you, but it took more than “a couple minutes” 😅
Typically seen in the Polynesian community/culture ❤
I made one for my son people around here sell them for $20+ I hung his favorite candy gummy worms in the middle.
& this is the reason why the school districts in utah are having the issues the are. Because white ppl took candy leis & made it a trend. Rather than making the leis we gift for these events, or any other significant event, memorable, they chose to make it a trend. Kudos on your cheap Lei 👍🏽
Thank you for making this video all of these people so sour about it… It’s about celebration get over it or make your own video
It be very amazing if "people" 🙄perhaps give credit where it's due or at least learn the reason why us "Polynesians" came up with the idea behind it rather then just making it a trend. Now it just feels like an unseason chicken over plain bowl of rice. Nice video by the way. 😅
Girl I said the same literally don’t see any Polynesian people making videos only white people making videos on it
Y’all aren’t islanders do y’all know the meaning behind the leis
how do you think we could add money to this :D
I have a DIY coming up with how to add money, but I found a lot of videos on folding cash to add to the lei.
Mine cost me $15 and I only charged $25 for it 🤦🏾♀️
Just please bear in mind that this idea comes from my Samoan culture but many are adopting and I'm hoping you don't think it's yours.
You've saved my 🥓! Accidentally told my students I'd get them candy leis for graduation until I looked up how much they cost. 🥲 Then trying to get everything from scratch was just as costly. But this is perfect. I'll get started on them today. Such a great idea! Thank you for sharing! 🥰
Yall can thank the Polynesians for coming up with lei making 🥰❤️
Right
Thank you, Polynesians!
Totally Cool!
Thank you
